Enjoying vacation...

I am considering the time before our stuff comes vacation, because I have a feeling most of the summer will be spent settling into the new house. We have been enjoying our time visiting. Jen came over this morning to see the girls and meet Caroline. Then we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's. Charlotte played in her sandbox for a while and Caroline played in the exersaucer. They finally got tired and both took naps! (Grandma layed with Charlotte at first and when I went up to check on them Grandma was sound asleep and Charlotte was still wide awake!) Caroline of course woke up while Charlotte was still asleep, but Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed having some time alone with her! She was a little crabby today which is unlike her. She is trying very hard to crawl, and while she has the arm and leg movements down she just isn't strong enough to make it work which is frustrating her. She also seems to be teething, she wants to chew on everything! Overall we had a pretty good day despite the cranky baby!

Raspberries, bikes and more!

This morning we headed over to Grandma and Grandpas to pick up Grandma for raspberry picking. It was starting to rain a bit but we figured we would attempt to pick anyway. Charlotte was very excited to pick berries. We quickly figured out that picking raspberries with Charlotte is counterproductive. We started filling the basket, turned to pick more and the basket was empty by the time we went to add more! We had a little berry thief on our hands! We eventually taught her how to pick them and just told her to pick and eat! She of course had to put them on her fingers like olives! After berry picking we met Mimi at Chipotle for lunch (at least they have those around here!!) and then went to get Charlotte a new bike helmet for her new bike that was arriving today. Sure enough when we got home her bike was there. She and Caroline napped while I put together her bike and went and got play sand for her sandbox! Once Caroline woke up we took out some of the toys from the basement we though she was big enough for like the jumper and the exersaucer. Charlotte loved playing with her in them more than I think Caroline likes them! We are all certainly wiped out after such a busy day!

More visiting!

(Sorry the photos are out of order, I'm not sure how to change that from the phone app I'm using)

Saturday morning when Charlotte woke up Uncle Alex was there! He had driven cross country and Charlotte was very excited to see him. (Caroline too!) We loaded the car and headed over to New York. After a longer than expected trip, (rain, pokey people, crying baby) we finally made it around dinner time. Grandma and Grandpa came over to meet Caroline and see us. (I for some reason have no pictures..)

Sunday we headed over to Vermont to check out our new house! Charlotte was very excited and picked out her new room. She also loved her new chalkboard wall in the basement playroom and drew me a porcupine! After stopping by the house we headed over to Colette and Jerry's to go swimming. Charlotte had a blast in the pool and then proceeded to wander around naked for a while.

Today we went to see Babo Skip and Grandma Eda. Once we got back to Mimi's it started to rain. It was a quick shower so when it stopped I asked Charlotte if she wanted to go jump in puddles. Of course she did! We ten ate dinner and went for ice cream where we found even bigger puddles! Luckily the temperature cooled down and we are much more comfortable!

A Fun Friday!

It was another hot day so we decided to do something indoors in the air conditioning! First we went to Friendly's and Charlotte enjoyed purple and pink ice cream! Auntie Julia met us and got to meet Caroline! Then we headed over to the bowling alley for some candlepin bowling. It is perfect for Charlotte! I won of course, although I may have used the bumpers a few times! We came home and Charlotte helped Papa plant some pumpkin seeds and she picked some snow peas to eat! Hopefully it will cool down tomorrow!
