The big kids wanted (with some encouragement) to recreate photos of when they were little. It was quite fun and we wish we did more!

Road Trip Day 5- Wisconsin

Monday morning Shane and Chris had to work so Abby and I took the kids to a place called Bookworm Gardens for the morning. It is like a botanical garden with different exhibits that are all out of story books! The kids had a great time.

We headed home after lunch and put the little boys down for naps. Then we went over to Abby's neighbors to swim for a it before Abby and I left all six kids with Chris and headed to Costco!
We came home and made dinner and the kids continued playing. Mostly with the kitten and bird that fell out of the nest that the kids were determined to make fly!
We had a nice evening hanging out outside and enjoying the nice weather and good company!

Road Trip Day 4- Wisconsin

Sunday was another beautiful day. We headed to the Kohler-Andre State Park beach since the kids had so much fun the day before. The state park had some nice sand dunes that the kids enjoyed!

The wind wasn't quite as strong which meant that there were nice waves but no undertow.

The kids spent the first half of the day playing on the sand dunes, making "pasta and meatballs" and just hanging out.
We took a little walk down the beach but didn't get very far when the kids decided they wanted to go in the water.

Around 3:00 we packed up and headed to the cheese store to get some goodies, to include ice cream. Caroline and Killian fell asleep in the car and we weren't about to wake them! Sadly, they missed out on ice cream!
Once we got home we cleaned up and got ready to go to Abby's moms house for dinner. The kids were all very tired but managed to hang in there until bedtime when Abby and Shane managed to get them all riled up!
It was another fantastic, fun day!

Road Trip Day 3- Wisconsin

Saturday was a gorgeous day so we headed down to Lake Michigan to hang out on the beach! It looked a lot like the ocean, complete with waves and undertows, but the kids had a blast.
Charlotte and Lilly seem to have picked right up where they left off 4 years ago. They are the best of friends.
All the kids enjoyed playing in the water, jumping waves and playing in the sand.

We headed back to Abby and Shane's and the little kids took a nap. Meanwhile, the kids found a kitten that had wandered over from the dairy farm next door. They named her Tippy and took very good care of her.

Oliver on the other hand, was not so gentle with the toad he found. He was not letting that thing go for anything. Luckily he did survive!

It was a perfect day!
