Visiting!

On Monday we left NH for a little vacation, just Chris, Charlotte and I. We went to Newport, RI and stopped on the way in Providence to visit my cousin Kelly at school! After getting spit up on in when she visited in the summer, she has decided that it is best to hold Charlotte facing out!
We continued on to Newport, and walked around for a bit until Charlotte got sleepy. Then we drove and did the driving scenic tour while she slept, and then went out to dinner. We went back to the hotel, where we got a king size bed for us all to sleep in. Charlotte decided that this was a great opportunity to nurse all night, and there was very little sleeping that took place. Tuesday morning my sinuses were killing and I had woken up about every hour, and decided we were not staying another night. We did stop before we left and saw our old neighbors from Coronado who live in Newport now. Charlotte was VERY sleepy, but hung in there while we visited!
Charlotte was fascinated by the birthday balloons!

It was great to see our friends, and we set off after leaving their house to drive back to New Hampshire. Charlotte was asleep before we left Newport, and slept for the entire ride home, until we were just around the corner! She was so tired!!!

Today we hung out around the house. It is very chilly... 52 degrees out! Chris bundled up Charlotte and took her outside with him to help Fred finish the wood shelter.
Its a bit blurry, but Charlotte somewhat resembles an eskimo.
She always smiles at mom.
And loves to snuggle with her daddy!

Jack

This weekend we took a day trip to Massachusetts to visit family friends. Ben and Amy have two kids, Hannah who is 2 1/2 and Jack, who is 4 days younger than Charlotte. We got together last year when Amy and I were both pregnant, and announced to each other we were expecting. Our due dates were roughly the same and Charlotte was born March 6th, and Jack followed March 10th. Neither of us knew the gender, so it was a nice surprise when they were opposite! We have already started planning their wedding!Give them a toy to chew on and they are good to go!
There was lots of sharing!
Hannah kept bringing the babies toys to play with.
They went on a date. Jack requested the paparazzi did not accompany them, but his request was denied.
After naps.. (well Charlotte pretended to nap and just cried) we went for a walk around the neighborhood while the big boys played outside. Charlotte slept for a bit on the walk, and then we came inside and played some more!
We had a great time and Charlotte and Jack were so fun to watch interact with each other. Hannah was a great little Mommy and was fascinated with a baby girl in the house! Charlotte slept the whole two hours it took to get home, which was a nice change from the ride there, where she screamed for about 45 minutes!

The Woods

Charlotte only took a short nap this afternoon and was ready to play. We are in New Hampshire at Chris' house and they have 72 acres of woods. We decided to take a walk and explore.

Baylie thinks she has died and gone to doggie heaven. She has the most freedom she has ever had when we are here. No leash, and she can chase chipmunks to her hearts content. She thought Chris' old fort was pretty neat too.Fred was our tour guide. We got to see some of the oldest Gum Trees east of the Mississippi. The property is lined with a stone wall. We were deep in the woods, and stopped for a picture.
The leaves are just starting to change here... and we heard they should be at their peak in 7-10 days. Hopefully we will be able to see some more colors!
Chris wore Charlotte in the Ergo for our walk and she was mesmerized by the woods.

Home again, Home again.

Tutu and Grandma Greats

We got Charlotte's Halloween tutu in the mail the other day and decided to try it out today for the Grandma Greats.Charlotte enjoyed eating the leaves.
This is my favorite pictures. Charlotte fell over and the expression on the Grandma's faces was awesome. That and the fact that Charlotte is a big poof ball.
Trying to eat my face, as usual.
Charlotte didn't really want to cooperate, but we managed to get a picture with both Grandma Great's.

Beautiful Fall Days!

Chris and I are so happy to be able to experience the fall this year! Last year Chris was gone, and I didn't make it home until November, so we are really excited to be home this year! Yesterday afternoon we took advantage of the nice weather and played outside with Baylie. Charlotte woke up from her nap and joined us!
So Silly!
Charlotte loves watching Baylie play ball! Every time Baylie comes hear her she giggles!
Although this is blurry, I think this picture is so cute! Charlotte loves being tossed in the air.... and Chris is so delicate when tossing her!
Today we were up in Saratoga, so we stopped in Congress Park to have lunch. We took some pictures too!
She's 6 months old and has had enough of our kisses already!
She's not crawling yet, but she so wants to move!
She can sit though!
We love the fall!

Race for the Cure

So, Chris and Amy are running a half marathon this weekend. Amy told Chris that she always signs herself up for a run after having each baby to force herself to get back in shape... I thought that was a great idea, So... Chris said he would do a 5K in San Diego with me! We are going to be running in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and have a fundraising goal of $125. I am going to attach a link to our page if you would like to donate! We would really appreciate it! Thanks!!!

Apple Picking!

Today we went apple picking with Mimi. Charlotte loved the apples! The morning was beautiful and the weather is amazing! The trees are just starting to turn and it is so pretty here!

Funny Farm and Great Grandma's!

Yesterday we went to Amy and Jim's to see everyone. Chris went with Amy to pick up Molly and Rory from school and surprised them! All three little girls were napping, but once they woke up it was a circus! There were lots of fun things at Amy's. A cup of water...
Cantaloupe...
Bucket...
Toot boy...
Here Chris is, telling Rory that he needs to tell his football coach that none of the good professional football players wear underwear, so he shouldn't have to either... and to end it with an evil laugh... Mwah ha ha... Charlotte thinks the fish are really cool!
Charlotte clearly could not pass for a funny farm child!
Last time we were home, Maggie was terrified of Chris. She opened up to him a bit faster this trip!
Today we went to see Great Grandma.
Charlotte was fascinated with her necklace. Poor Grandma kept getting choked all morning!
Charlotte thinks her Daddy is so funny! He keeps calling her a mini-meatball (since we are Italian) and Grandma was NOT happy with the new nickname! She told him if he kept it up she was going to tell his mother! (He did not feel threatened!)
