Summer's Past and a new table!

This morning we went to meet Abby and Lisa at Summer's Past Farms. Charlotte was excited.She finally has her two top teeth. The second one just poked through, and she has one more on the bottom. Five in all. She has already figured out how to grind her teeth together to make a lovely noise... I guess it is hereditary.
She gave Lisa and the baby lots of love.
One of her favorite things to do was to pick and eat the flowers, and the gravel!
Lilly and Charlotte cooperated long enough for Abby and I to take a few pictures of them. The gardens were so pretty!

Charlotte has been testing out her lungs lately. When she gets excited she screams. It is a really fun stage.
Lisa's belly is getting so big! We had lots of fun and came home to take a nap!
While Charlotte was napping, Wille, Josh and Heather came over to help me trim the legs off the new table I got today for Charlotte. Chris was afraid I was going to saw a finger off... When she woke up she tried it out and loved it!
We both ate dinner at her table tonight. This was her second plate of pasta and meatballs. She didn't eat the first, when she was getting into her chair it fell off the table and all over the floor...
Suprizingly she ate most of her food right off the plate! She has figured out how to take her bib off though. Once she went to bed, I ordered her some bibs that have a snap!!!

Early Birthday Photo Shoot!

So we decided that next week might be a bit hectic, and I was dying to take these pictures... So when Charlotte woke up from her nap this afternoon, she had a nice little surprise waiting for her!Charlotte figured out really quick how to dip the candle back in the frosting for a second taste.
Then she just went all in!
It went downhill from there...









She kept wanting to feed Chris cake. I don't think he minded.
Baylie desperately wanted to eat the cake. We held off until the very end, took a few pictures and dragged her away from the cake!
I think this picture is my favorite. I love it in black and white too. Charlotte just loves to give kisses and will give you a kiss most times when you ask for it. She loves her Daddy so much!

Thursday

I don't have too many good pictures from today, but Grandma Great was pestering me to put up some new ones!

I have decided that it is time to start doing some Montessori work with Charlotte. We went to Ikea yesterday and got a work mat, and some practical life activities. Charlotte is still learning the concept of the work mat and likes to crawl on it. I am excited for her to start learning more things!We went to Target this morning to pick up a few birthday things and they had the cutest apron in the Easter section. The best part was it was only $5!!!
It is a little big for her still, but she loves playing with my apron and I couldn't pass up the good deal!
She loves to play with her kitchen and bang her pots, pans and utensils!
We had music today and Charlotte was waiting and looking for Ms. Dayna at the door!
Ms. Dayna had the evil sharing ball with her today. Charlotte does not like to wait her turn for the ball. It is always a trial! I am waiting for the day when she sits quietly and shares!
It is incredible to see how much Charlotte has picked up since we started music. A few weeks ago she would pull the scarf off her head immediately, and now when we sing the "wave your scarves" song, she puts it right on her head, all by herself!
Tonight we went over to Abby's to play and Charlotte loved Syrus' new kid sized cups! Abby made a wonderful dinner as always, and we had fun playing!

What we do on rainy days!

This weekend it was kind of rainy and icky. We decided we needed ways to entertain ourselves. Baylie was a prime contender for entertainment.

Charlotte was not happy that Baylie was wearing her pajamas! Baylie wasn't excited about it either!

Chris took a introductory bagpipe lesson last week and brought home his recorder like instrument that will help him learn how to play.

Charlotte wanted to try it out too!
Sunday there was a break in the rain and Chris and Charlotte were being silly outside, while I was inside putting clothes away.

Although today wasn't rainy, Charlotte was pretty funny. She dumped out all her pegs out of the bin and climbed inside!
