Birthday Party!

Today we went to our friend's little girl's birthday party! Charlotte made the birthday girl cry. She is not very good at sharing, and even though I tried to tell her that the birthday girl gets whatever she wants, Charlotte didn't listen!
She actually left her hat on today! That was a first!
Charlotte was excited to see her friend Miles. They play so nice together!
Miles was excited too. Daddy is not too excited... he says no boys until she is 18!
Charlotte left the party hat on long enough for me to take a picture.
Then she decided to see if there was anything good to drink inside the hat!
We had a lot of fun at the party! Charlotte said Mama all day today (she just started staying it yesterday!) She also started waving yesterday! I was just telling Lisa that as hard as I had been trying to get her to do both, she just wouldn't, and the very next day she did both! Yay!

Music, Baylie and Joli!

Today we had music class! Charlotte enjoyed it as always!We sang songs about Ladybugs today, and got to play with Ladybug maracas!

After music Charlotte was ready to play. Apparently Baylie was too! She was wagging her tail and rolled over for Charlotte to pet her! We have definately come a long way since last March!

Charlotte didn't want to nap today. She has had a bit of a stomach thing going on, but her behavior had been pretty normal so I didn't think it was anything serious, but her poor little bum was getting awfully sore. I finally put her to bed and she played in her crib for an hour before falling asleep! When she woke up she was very clingy and snuggled with me for about an hour on and off! We watched some T.V, and had some applesauce! She has decided that Blackberry Applesauce is ok now... (she never liked applesauce before!)
I went to her room to get her blankie, and when I brought it out she crawled over to it and laid her head down on it. It was so cute!

Lisa and Joli brought dinner over tonight, and Charlotte perked up after we ate. She loves to play with Joli, but Joli was pretty tired tonight too, and didn't really want to play "pass the ring"!

Charlotte definitely wanted to play!

Joli finally escaped to the chair so she wouldn't get picked on anymore, but Charlotte followed her! She just loves her so much!

Zoo

Today we met our friends at the Zoo! We saw lots of animals, however I neglected to get pictures of the actual animals! We looked at the reptiles while we waited for everyone to arrive, then we played on the playground for a bit. Charlotte liked eating the dirt.
Lilly and Charlotte rode in style today. Charlotte really likes the fish.
The big kids were obsessed with seeing the "hungry hungry Hippo's" and when we got there they were sunning themselves and it was very hard to see them! They settled for a Hippo statue! We tried to get a group photo on the Hippo, it was interesting trying to get everyone to smile and look at the camera. Needless to say, it didn't happen but oh well!
We spent 3 1/2 hours at the Zoo today, and Charlotte stayed awake the whole time! She was actually really quiet the whole time we were there! We were blessed to see two giant tortoises loving on each other a little too much, and a gorilla who decided to eat it's poo right in front of us! Gross!

Exploring

This morning Charlotte decided that since the baby gate was open, she was going to explore!First hurdle was getting through the gate, and standing up on the other side!
Then she crawled to the bathroom!I guess she wanted to take a bath!It all ended badly. Charlotte was dancing at the bathtub and bumped her mouth on the side of the tub. It was the first time she has actually drawn blood! She cut her gums a little bit, but she was ok! I'm sure it is just the beginning of many injuries!

Wild Animal Park

Today we went to the Wild Animal Park with Lisa and Joli. Charlotte had a great time looking at the animals, and an even better time playing on the playground! She really want's to just crawl around and pull herself up on EVERYTHING! We had a nice afternoon!

Rain Rain Go Away!

Yesterday was the last day of rain for the week! It has been a very wet week! Luckily it didn't rain very much in the morning's so we could still get out of the house at least once a day! Yesterday it even hailed! Chris had the day off from work and I went to get my hair done! It was lovely! She was very happy to play with her daddy and her new favorite snack is Clementines! She has about 3 a day!She gets really excited about eating!
She also has been really enjoying climbing under the TV stand and sitting, and pulling herself up!

She really likes playing with her ball tunnel thing, and thinks it is so awesome that she can put the balls in herself!

The rain finally stopped today and we went to the park to play! It was still kind of chilly out, but Charlotte enjoyed being outside and playing on the swings!





Lisa and Joli came over tonight for Pizza and they brought a movie too. Charlotte didn't last for the movie! She had a rough day. I was coming down with a cold so I took a long nap this afternoon. Chris was great and played with her, until I woke up to screams. She had hit her forehead on the door hinge while trying to pull herself up and had a nice egg on her forehead! Then she was really crabby. I realized Chris hadn't given her a bottle when she woke up! By the end of the day Chris told me he doesn't envy me at all and thanked me for being a stay at home mom!
