Getting back into the game...

We spent the last of the time Chris had off enjoying each other and finally getting the hang of managing three kids. Chris went back to work last Friday after two weeks of paternity leave. We have been doing pretty well. I think he now has a new appreciation for my job as a stay at home mom! Killian continued to be a sweet baby, only deciding to wake up for the longest stretch of time in the middle of the night, but since he is so good the rest of the day and he really doesn't cry we can't complain too much!

A common scene in our house these days is one of the girls, or both, standing watch over Killian. Watch out future girlfriends!

Last Friday (the 20th) was Chris' first day back and my first day home alone with the three kids. I still was feeling pretty sore which made it a bit difficult, but we managed and have been getting better and better. The girls love snuggling with their brother.

They also fight over him. Caroline more so than Charlotte, who will patiently wait her turn while her sister gets his hair all slobbery.

One of the more difficult things about having two kids so close together is Caroline doesn't understand that she has to be gentle with the baby and will leap on top of him without thinking twice. It has now been just over 3 weeks as I'm writing this and she is getting much better.

The girls took a break from Killian and decided to have a dance party while I got dinner ready. They were too cute to not photograph!

We couldn't be happier with our little family!

Killian's First Bath

Charlotte was very excited when we were changing Killian and his umbilical stump fell off. She ran through the house announcing it to everyone! That meant that Killian could have his first real bath! Charlotte was very excited to help out. Caroline was excited to sit on the counter, play with the toothbrushes and make a mess out of the mirror. Killian for the most part wasn't too pleased with the water, but he has since grown to enjoy it more. His hair was so fluffy and soft afterwords and he didn't smell like spit up anymore!

Apple Picking

On Sunday (the 15th) we went Apple Picking! It was a beautiful day and we were excited to bring Grammy and Papa with us! It was a trial however keeping Caroline from eating every apple she picked, and by eating I mean taking one bite, spitting it out, and putting the apple in her bag. We picked a couple small bags of apples and took some pictures in the orchard before Chris and I left the girls with Grammy and Papa and we headed out to have a lunch date (Killian came too but you would have never known he was there!) It was such a nice weekend and great to get a bit of a break!
