Playing

This morning Caroline was busy building towers and such. Then they crashed all over the floor... Guess who picked them all up?!

Killian didn't sleep last night. I went to bed at 8:15 (was sound asleep!) and it was a good thing since Killian was up from 11:45-3. He goes in spurts of yelling and then quiets down.... It's really fun.

He also has been sitting on the potty more often... With his clothes/diaper on. He often goes in his diaper while sitting.

Caroline was very busy playing in her room today. She organized and made her bed with all her animals/dolls and blankets!

Killian discovered the bucket of cars and was having a great time diving them up and down the railing. It was fun until Caroline  started shooting cars down from the top.

Killian napped (not for very long) and Caroline skipped hers. That meant we were actually on time for ballet today!

After we got Charlotte we came home and played outside for just a little while until everyone's hands got cold.

We barely survived until Chris got home. Killian has been spending more and more time on my back in the Ergo as he is hungry and whiny at dinner time. He was thrilled when Chris got home though, he waves like crazy and yells DADA until he gets out of his car! Makes it all worth while!

Endless Snow

We woke up this morning to more snow. It is starting to get ridiculous!! Both girls headed off to school with Chris leaving Kilian home to play.

We hung out most of the morning. Kilian read some stories.

He is such a happy kid. We got ready and went to meet Chris for a quick lunch before getting Caroline.

Caroline had a great day at school, we came home and the kids had naps, which I had to wake them from to go get Charlotte. I swear, the days we don't have to get her they are up well before we would have needed to leave!

We got Charlotte and came back home to relax until dinner. The kids were getting restless so we made some popcorn and they watched a little TV.

After bath Caroline came downstairs and put her rice filled animals (heat up packs) into the microwave and set it to 1:49. Chris apparently taught her how to use the microwave while we were gone. Don't worry, she only watched from that close for a minute before I moved her back 4 feet, as Grandpa would have had it!

It's crazy that they are still sleeping with warm stuffed animals at the end of March!

Painting eggs and a Walk

Charlotte and I got home around noon today. We had planned on leaving earlier but when we got ready to go we discovered Mimi had taken Chris' car keys instead of hers. So we were stuck. Grandma came over so I could go to Target and then Mimi stopped and got us groceries at Trader Joes so it worked out ok! Caroline skipped a nap today, it makes for a early bedtime but the afternoon can be so hard with her. Charlotte was thrilled to see Caroline but they started up their normal interaction quickly. (Pushing each other's buttons). I picked up some cardboard Easter eggs this week so they brought out the watercolors and painted some eggs!

Killian woke up mid-painting session and of course wanted to join in. First he tried to eat the paintbrush with paint on it... 

They came out pretty nice, different than dying real eggs but a fun craft project!

Killian then tried to paint the window...

It was a beautiful day out so we took the kids out for a little walk.

Baylie came too and Killian enjoyed holding her leash. She was pretty obidient and it's kind of sad to think she probably doesn't even realize she's on a leash.

The kids explored the culdesac.

The located the biggest puddle and went right in!

Hopefully the snow continues to melt and the temperatures continue to rise (not too high), the kids are loving being outside!

Kelly's Shower

This morning we headed out early for Long Island for Kelly's bridal shower. Charlotte was a great travler and sat in the back with Grandma while I navigated for Mimi up front. She spent most of the ride playing the "Teach Me" app on the iPad, spelling words and doing math. The only problem is the touch screen is so sensitive that even though she spells the word right if she doesn't write it out correctly and quickly it tells her she's wrong. It even happens for me! She gets quite frustrated!

Back at home Chris, Papa and the littles went for donuts and played!

We stopped at a rest stop and Charlotte wanted to make a souvenir penny that she was cranking the wrong way for a while... We've since lost the penny...

We arrived for the shower and Charlotte was glad to see Kelly!

She spent most of her time drawing and writing a story about Bluey the Bird and her baby named Cutie. She came up with it all on her own and I just helped her sound out some words!

Charlotte was excited when it was time to open presents!

She did a great job helping Kelly!

Back at home it was snowing... (It was snowing on Long Island also...)

Papa and Chris took the littles for dinner. Apparently they did a great job!

We had a lovely time and Charlotte is looking forward to being the flower girl!!

I think Charlotte's favorite part of the trip was getting to see NYC out her window, she begged to go and see Taylor Swift :)

Beach Day!

The final day of Spirit Week was Beach Day! I'm not quite sure how this is beach themed... But Charlotte wore a summer outfit. She would not wear the sunglasses to school because she insisted they are not allowed at school!

No bathing suits were allowed, which makes sence as school is K-8! She was so happy to go outside in shorts!

Caroline insisted on matching Charlotte and wore her spring dress to school also, even though it wasn't beach day at her school!

Killian and Caroline both went to school this morning. Killian did a little better at drop off, had a good day and didn't cry when I came to get him. He didt want to eat his lunch and fell asleep in the car!

He woke up just as we needed to leave to get Charlotte. Caroline had to be woken up, she is usually in an ok mood thank goodness when she gets interrupted from her nap! We got Charlotte and came home and waited for Chris to get home. Killian decided to put Cheerios down the heating vent for a fun time!

Once Chris arrived, Charlotte and I headed over to Mimi's for the night as we are going to Kelly's shower tomorrow! Charlotte was thrilled to be alone!! She is also excited about spending the day with Mom, Mimi and Grandma tomorrow!

Back at home Chris held down the fort. After a minor "what do we eat for dinner" mishap all seemed to go well. Papa arrived shortly after Killian went down and now Chris has backup! I'm sure they will have a great time!

Crazy Hair Day

Spirit Week continues today with Crazy Hair Day. Charlotte loves filling her hair with bows so that's what she did! At first she was grumbly about it and just wanted 3 ponytails. Then she got upset and decided she would go with the bows. It was a rough morning. She finally headed out the door after whining and complaining the whole way!

She had 27 different bows/clips in her hair!

Killian and Caroline are on the mend. We still just hung out at home today as I felt they needed another day to rest. They played fairly well for a few hours this morning.

Killian has not been thrilled with eating anything lately. I tried to hold off his milk until after he ate in hopes of getting some food into him. It somewhat worked, he just isn't into food!

He is getting into cars though! He knows just how to drive them!

Caroline hid out in the bathroom with the magnatiles. She shut the door so Killian couldn't get in and knock her stacks over. She sorted them all out into the right shapes!

Killian went down around 11 and Caroline followed shortly after, although she didn't fall asleep until almost noon when I threatened the "sleep police" would come and tell her to go to sleep. I know that is terrible but she was asleep within 2 minutes. Killian didn't nap for long and was up 20 minutes after I left Caroline. He was pretty silly for a little while then got tired and grumpy again.

We got Charlotte and she cried and whined almost the whole way home. For no good reason. She perked up a bit when we got home and Killian wanted to play with her! Them Caroline did something and back to being a grump she went!

Everyone was elated when Chris got home and was in good moods the rest of the night!!
