Today we brought Charlotte to the pediatrician. She weighed 6lb 8oz, which is only one ounce down from her birth weight. The pediatrician couldn't believe how well she was doing, and how well we were doing with feeding etc. that she said she didn't need to see her for another couple of weeks! Here are some pictures of the day we went home from the hospital....
Chris and Charlotte

We were all laughing at Chris bringing our stuff out to the car. He could be a Vera Bradley model!

Baylie meets Charlotte. She does NOT like it when she cries!

Last night mom cooked dinner and we had Lisa and Joli over. Joli was so anxious to meet Charlotte, she came in, gave her a kiss and was over it. She was very funny at dinner, it is hard with an incision not to laugh! We gave her a cupcake for desert and she loved it!

Chris has been wearing Charlotte in the Moby wrap. He keeps saying he feels like a Greek warrior. It is so nice when he wraps her, she loves being on his chest, and when we go out no one can see her or touch her! It also makes it very easy to eat dinner!

She loves sleeping on your chest. I took a nap with her this afternoon, and Chris watched TV in the living room. I had to confess later that I took her out of her swing and slept with her next to me. She's just so cute and little and cuddly!

Mimi was complaining that she hardly got to hold Charlotte today since Chris was wearing her most of the day. After dinner though she was wide awake and Mimi just loved talking to her.

Here we are today at Target. I know, I'm crazy for going to Target after having surgery 4 days previously, but we were right there after the pediatrician, and I was getting stir crazy, plus we needed some things, and my camera broke, so we had to get a new one right away. Chris insisted though that I not walk, and I drove around in the little cart. It was SO slow, but Chris said it was suppose to be slow. Then an old lady went zooming by me in her cart, and he agreed that I had a dud cart. Mom also keeps saying I stuck watermelons in my shirt. I think I could feed half the neighborhood...

We are on to day 5.... I never want this newborn stage to end. She is just so sweet. She eats well, sleeps well, and is just so cute! Check back with me in 2 years when she can talk back!
