Sibling's

Well, Joli is the closest thing that Charlotte has to a sibling at the moment, and now that Charlotte is mobile and wants to do things for herself, and Joli want's to be the older and bossier wiser child, it creates a very interesting relationship. I don't think you need any words for the following pictures!

Abby's

Abby invited us over for dinner tonight. Charlotte thought playing at Abby's was a lot of fun. The kids have a tent outside and I went inside it. Charlotte was so amused by the fact that I was in the tent! (She's laughing, not crying!)
Abby made us a wonderful dinner, she is a really good cook! I think this picture is hilarious. Charlotte and Lilly thought Joli and Syrus were very funny at the table. Charlotte sat for so long just taking it all in!
After dinner, Joli and Syrus enjoyed a popsicle while they watched Little Einstein's. Charlotte also really enjoyed my popsicle. It must have felt really good on her sore gums!We went to see the mess that the big kids made in Lilly's room and put Charlotte in Lilly's crib to contain her. She thought being in someone else's crib was a lot of fun! Notice her mohawk? I got two compliments on it today. The cashier in Target thought it was the coolest thing and asked if I did it on purpose!
It was nice to get out of the house and we had a lot of fun, even though it is always slightly chaotic when you get two toddlers, two babies together and three exhausted mom's in the same house!

Baylie and New Toys!

Charlotte and Baylie decided they both wanted to break the rules and play ball in the house. Baylie is not allowed to play inside because she will drive you crazy with her ball and she never gives up. Today though, I allowed some ball playing inside, only because Charlotte thought it was awesome, and Baylie actually liked Charlotte playing with her!

Charlotte figured out that she was suppose to throw the ball for Baylie, and by throw I mean she would drop it very quickly in front of her. It was hilarious.

Charlotte has really gotten into clapping. She is so cute! She loved it when Baylie would bring the ball back and she would get excited and clap!
We took the Christmas money from Charlotte's Great Grandma and got her some educational toys today! She loved testing them out! Apparently they make pretty good teethers too! Hopefully she will learn her shapes in the process!
We got a new peg board that is very neat!We also got a Caterpillar mat that came with different objects to match each color! Can you tell she is teething?!

Zoo and Girl's Dinner

This morning we met Abby and Lisa at the Zoo. (Thanks Uncle Rodney, Aunt Karen and Kelly for our new membership!!!) Charlotte didn't wake up from her 3 HOUR nap until an hour after we were suppose to be there! We rushed over and met up with Abby and Lisa in the Elephant enclosure! Charlotte wasn't too sure she remembered Lilly at first!
We made our way through the exibit and it started raining. We were all kind of bummed that the day we decided to go to the Zoo was the first not 70 degree day in the last two weeks!
Charlotte did not do a lot of smiling today. Lisa felt inside her mouth and said she can feel a tooth coming in. We tried our hardest to make her happy... including rides on the Jaguar! She liked playing with Lilly though!
It was raining out so the Jaguar didn't like being outside. This made for great viewing! Syrus and Joli were very excited to see the "nice big cat"!
She thought standing at the glass was pretty neat!
Tonight we went over to Lisa's for a dinner with the girls! Charlotte was very grabby and Abby decided to show her the "Let's be kind" book. She didn't get the hint!
The little girls thought Abby was a really fun jungle gym!
Charlotte was pretty fussy at the beginning of dinner, until I gave her some cereal. Then she was excited because it meant she got to put it in her hair! It was EVERYWHERE. You can see her hair standing up everywhere because there was so much gunk in it!
She got pudding for dessert and loved it! Then she went straight into the tub!

Tuesday

Ever since Charlotte has figured out how to crawl, she has also figured out how to move about her crib. Baylie and I went in to get her up this morning and Baylie was quite happy to see Charlotte, and vice versa!
This morning we went to pick up our new rocking chair. I have wanted a rocking chair forever and I always put off getting one. I really wanted to wait until we had more space and get a big upholstered glider but I decided I didn't want to wait any longer so we picked out a regular one. While Charlotte slept I put together the rocker, without any help from Lisa! (I was tempted to call her a few times though!) Charlotte tested it out once she woke up!
We went to Lisa's for dinner tonight and shortly after we arrived Princess Joli emerged from her bedroom. Charlotte was in awe!
Joli thought she was pretty special!
After dinner Charlotte and Joli played. Joli was pretty good with sharing and explaining to Charlotte how things worked.
Charlotte thought it was fun and decided she would clap for us! She just started to clap!
She had an exhausting day and was pretty tired at Lisa's which meant she passed out on the way home! She woke up once we got home and we read a story and she had a bottle before bed in our new rocking chair! It was lovely!

On the move...

Charlotte is getting well into the world of crawling. She has been making a little more progress each day. She really likes being able to crawl to whichever toy she wants to play with! She has been pretty funny lately. Her new favorite thing is to sit up in her crib, with her legs hanging out, and drop her pacifier out onto the floor. When I go in to get her, she is sitting, holding onto the rails, with all the pacifiers in the same spot on the floor, laughing. What a silly girl!
She desperately want's to talk on the phone, but she can't quite figure out how it works! Now that she is crawling I had to do some major rearrangements. She really likes to get into the folded clothes and diapers!
Tonight Lisa and Joli came over for dinner. Charlotte showed off her new skills. She has very quickly figured out how to crawl over to the couch and pull herself up.
Now when Joli has something she wants she just crawls right over! Joli didn't think this was so great. Charlotte needed a bath before bed and Joli wanted to join her. Charlotte wasn't in for the squiring of the bath toys in her face, or having water poured over her head (by Joli), but I think her love for Joli made it alright!

Picasso

Yesterday we spent most of the day out of the house. I was on the hunt for a new rug for our living room, one that was a little larger that would give Charlotte a little more room to move around on. We looked all morning, took a break to having lunch with Robyn, then looked some more until we finally found one at World Market, our last stop before making it home. I felt kinda bad that poor Charlotte was carted around all day yesterday, so today I decided we would play at home. We made a quick trip to Target to get some supplies, and then while Charlotte took her nap I whipped up a batch of finger paint and waited for her to wake up. I think I was more excited than she was, but she enjoyed eating the paint. Luckily it was just cornstarch, water and food coloring! I think that it was her biggest meal of the day! The great part was that when she was finished she crawled right over to me... and covered me in her paint too!
