Balboa Park Part One

This morning we went to Stroller Strides and Chris came with us! He braved being the only male in a group of women (and babies) and I think he actually had fun! This afternoon we went to Balboa Park to walk around and take some pictures with Lisa and Joli (and the belly!). There are so many cute ones that I am going to split them up into two posts since tomorrow is suppose to be a yucky day and I doubt I will have any pictures!

Music!

We had music class today and Charlotte was all about kissing! Our friend Eloise is the sweetest little girl! She let's Charlotte climb all over her and just gives her hugs! Charlotte decided to show her some love today and give her kisses!
She loved Ms. Dayna's snail shakers today!
We sang songs about the ocean and Charlotte got into the "ocean" with the octopus! She wasn't afraid of him!We had lots of kids today! One of the mom's had her sister and three kids visiting and it was a full house! Charlotte loved it! Can you find her?!?!
She was rocking out on the xylophone with our friend Lilly's mom, Ashley.
I looked in Charlotte's mouth today and she has three teeth coming in! Poor baby!
Charlotte and her friend Eloise rode in the "boat" together.
They were the best of friends today!

Las Vegas!

Since Chris had a 4 day weekend, we decided to take a trip to Las Vegas. Charlotte liked playing in the hotel room and loved sitting in front of the big window!
Part of our reason for going to Vegas was to visit Farideh, Chris' good friend Alex's mother. Alex was killed in a military training accident two years ago and his mother lives in Las Vegas. Charlotte is named after him (her middle name, Alexandra) and this was the first time since she was born that we were able to make it out to see his mom. She was thrilled that we came to visit and of course loved Charlotte. We had lunch with her on Saturday.

Saturday afternoon we went to the Mirage to see Siegfried and Roy's Secret Garden. We saw the Dolphins and of course Charlotte was scared. She has become a huge scardy cat. She cried at just about anything that moved or made noises. Then we went in to see the Lions and Tigers. They were so neat. Charlotte once again, did not like the animals.
She kept peeking to see them, and then would hide her head in Chris' shoulder.
Charlotte has been getting really good at doing things when you ask her to. All weekend she clapped, waved and gave kisses!
Our other reason for going to Vegas was to visit our friends Kim and Dan. They were our tour guides for the weekend! Saturday night we went to Downtown Las Vegas to Fremont Street to see all the lights and entertainment!
They have a big dome over the street that plays light shows every hour. Charlotte wasn't too sure at first, and ended up crying through it.
She liked playing with Dan though!
Yesterday morning we met Kim and Dan for Dunkin Donuts... something we don't have in California, and then we went to see the Hoover Dam! Chris and Kim kept getting a kick out of including "Dam" in all of their sentences.
Charlotte was surprisingly not afraid of the Dam! It was crazy to see how much the water level has dropped since the Dam was built. The white rock is from where the water used to be!They are building a new bridge to help ease the traffic delays going through the Dam. It was also an amazing sight to see!
Charlotte was in two places at once! Nevada and Arizona meet in the middle of the Dam!
She loved being on Chris' back and kept her hat on too!

I told Kim and Chris to smile, and then started taking pictures. Kim didn't know what was going on with my camera when I started snapping away... oops. I guess I may take a bit too many pictures!
We had a nice weekend. It was so nice to catch up with Kim and Dan, and for Charlotte to meet Farideh. Last night Chris, Charlotte and I watched the volcano show in front of the Mirage, and Charlotte screamed her head off. Then Chris and Charlotte went back to the hotel and I went to see the Cirque Du Soleil show "Love". It was awesome and I am so glad I got to see it! Charlotte was so good in the car and we had a nice weekend away!
