Water Table!

I have been wanting Chris to make Charlotte a water/sand table for a while now, and he finally was home long enough to do it! This of course required buying a cool new tool.
I didn't want one that has pre-designated canals or tracks in it, and the ones that were just a bin were super expensive. So I went to Ikea, and bought a table for $38 and we already had two extra bins. It took a while of cutting the plastic, and Chris didn't finish until after Charlotte was in bed!
This afternoon it was warm enough out so we tried it out! She is a little short for it, and a bucket on the ground would probably be satistitying for a while longer, but the table is so cute!
She of course poured water all over herself!
And drank it!
I got her these squishy water balls that are really cool, except she liked to chew on them and they are made out of polyurethane foam and that can't be good!
So I took it away which resulted in a major meltdown, but gave her a couple washcloths instead, which she chewed on and poured on Baylie!

I honestly have no recollection as to what she was crying about... but she was kind of cute.
I eventually moved the table into the shade, and it just so happened to be next to the step. She has to be closely supervised, but it is the perfect height for her to stand and play at!

We also went to the doctors today for Charlotte's one year check-up! She weighs 21.8lbs, is 29 inches long, but her head is still in the 90th percentile!

Sand is for playing!

Yesterday during dinner with Lisa and Joe, we decided since neither of us had any plans, and it was suppose to be hot today, we would go to the beach! So after a morning nap for Charlotte we headed off to soak up the rays!Charlotte is still afraid of the ocean!
Lisa took this photo of Charlotte and I and demanded I put it on my blog!
Charlotte has gotten over eating sand! At least for now! What a relief!
Lisa looked so cute with her preggo belly! She is 28 weeks! Can't wait until the baby is here!
Joe buried Joli in the sand. She cooperated for a few photos then broke out!
This past week Charlotte has really figured out how to climb. She climbed right into the beach chair and proceeded to lounge and eat goldfish crackers.

Everyone built sandcastles and played in the sand!
Charlotte loves her little wagon that carries her sand toys. She enjoyed filling it with sand...
And then decided to climb in!Which then meant that she needed to be pulled!

Chris was very into digging!
Joe tossed Charlotte into the air, but he hardly let go of her because she was gripping onto his thumbs too tight!
It was a gorgeous day and it was so nice to have the boys at the beach with us! We had a really fun weekend!

Old Town and Mission Bay!

This morning we met Abby and the kids in Old Town for some Easter shopping. Lilly was so happy!

Syrus was all about Charlotte and wanted to give her kisses and hold her hand!

Lisa came and met us, but Joe had Joli for the morning. Lisa watched Charlotte and hung out with Abby while I went to get my hair done!!! They had lots of fun!

This evening we met Lisa, Joe and Joli at Mission Bay for a picnic! Charlotte brought her wagon and her and Joli had a blast!

We also brought the soccer ball and the girls loved it!

Charlotte let Joe hold her while Joli and Chris kicked the soccer ball. Charlotte got very concerned when Chris ran off!

Charlotte took a good spill out of the wagon when she decided to stand up, and Joli decided to move the wagon while she was standing. Joli waited patiently after that until Charlotte decided to sit down so she could push her again! Charlotte is getting so big... she climbed into the wagon all by herself!

The girls were both so well behaved tonight and actually played with each other!

Charlotte was talking up a storm tonight, although you can't understand her! Even Joli asked me what she was saying! Lisa swears she repeated "all done" today at lunchtime!

It wouldn't be a fun day outside if Daddy didn't toss Charlotte into the air a few times!

Of course she had to clap a little too!

It was pretty cold out once she sun started to set, and Joli wrapped herself up in her blankie. She even let Charlotte join her! We had such a nice and relaxing evening at the park! We can't wait to do it again!

Playtime with Baylie and Daddy!

This weekend it was beautiful out, so we spent quite a bit of time outside. Charlotte loves to play with Baylie, and having Daddy there made it that much better! There was lots of clapping involved!

She had a fascination with the bark and kept crawling over to the rose bushes to eat it. Lovely.
We decided to get some outside toys for Charlotte and that included a tunnel!
She crawled through once, and didn't like the sound/feel it made when she crawled through on the pokey grass. She preferred to stay on the outside!

This is what Charlotte looks like when she doesn't get what she wants. She has become increasingly good at throwing temper tantrums! (Grandma don't worry I didn't do anything to hurt her, and no she didn't deserve a hug, she was disobeying!)Nothing makes up for being scolded like some snuggle time with Daddy!
Of course, we had to go in the Cozy Coupe before going inside!
