Children's Museum

We were suppose to leave New Hampshire on Wednesday to come to New York, but it was a rainy day, and I just preferred to not drive for 4 hours in the pouring rain... so we stayed an extra day. Since it was rainy, Papa and I took Charlotte to the Children's Museum. Charlotte called Daddy when we got there to tell him all about it!We went to try on different masks from all over the world. Papa made a good subject. We looked at the globe to see where Daddy is!
Papa was hungry so Charlotte made him a snack in the restaurant!
We thought of Syrus as we dug for dinosaur bones!
Papa wanted to try out the stress test. It was a game that required you to put the sensor headband on and a ball would move towards the person who was the least stressed. I was winning, until Charlotte decided to stand up on the table and walk very close to the edge towards me!
There was a mirror room...
And then Charlotte really enjoyed the elevator belt things... you put the foam shapes on and cranked it up to the top and watched them fly!

The big impression peg board was a huge hit! I had a small one when I was little and loved it... Charlotte was fascinated by it!

To finish off our trip we played with the balls and the conveyer belt! What fun!

Whipped Cream!

Grammy made some whipped cream to go with our dessert and Charlotte got to lick the beaters! It was a first for her and boy did she love it!

Gymboree with Papa!

On Tuesday Papa and I took Charlotte to Gymboree in Portsmouth. It was about a 45 minute drive, but anywhere from Grammy and Papa's house is about that long! I had called a few days prior and gave them Charlotte's name and made sure it was alright for us to attend the class. When we arrived they informed us that no other children were signed up for that class, but they were super nice and let us stay and play for the time class would have normally taken place. Charlotte didn't mind either way and had a great time playing all by herself!!!

Playing with TJ and Kallie!

Last Monday we went over to Chris' best friend growing up, Todd's house. His wife Kristi had two adorable babies in July. The twins were born two months premature but are doing great. They are still like newborn babies and were so peaceful!
Charlotte loved the babies, and was not so peaceful! She of course wanted to pick Kallie up and carry her around the house.
Luckily Kristi had some baby dolls that Charlotte could play with! Kallie is only a bit bigger than the baby! She weighs just about as much as Charlotte when she was born!
Kristi is so calm and is a wonderful mother! I am overwhelmed by my one baby at times, and she was so calm and collected with the twins! (They were very well behaved while we were there, since they were fed and sleepy!)
Charlotte loved rubbing Kallie's head... while eating a snack too!
TJ was a little more awake than Kallie and he is just so cute!
Charlotte is really getting into the "baby doll" age and loved the twins, and wanted to put the binky in... and out... and in... poor Kallie's mouth. Let's just say I'm glad we are waiting a bit longer before having another!
After we went home and had a nap Charlotte went outside to greet Papa when he came home!

What a nice day!

Sunday Afternoon

After Charlotte's nap she was eager to play outside with Papa. She even calls for him now. It sounds more like "ba ba" than "Papa" but oh well! They had fun swinging on the swing.
Until Papa fell off... It was a slow fall, and luckily Charlotte was on top and not the bottom!

She knows better than to pull Papa's ears like she does Daddy's when she is on his shoulders!

Uncle Rick and Aunt Pam came over for dinner. Charlotte enjoyed playing with them too!

Cousin Julia arrived just in time for dinner! Charlotte was glad to have another playmate! It was great to see everyone!
