Charlotte's Tea Party!

Yesterday we headed out to Summers Past for Charlotte's Birthday Party! We had a little tea party, although the only one who really enjoyed the tea was Joli! Charlotte had lots of fun eating the food out of the wagon off the utensils!
She didn't really know it was her birthday, but all she knew was as soon as she woke up, she wanted a cupcake, and it took everything I had to keep them from her!
We had fun sunglasses, sun hats and beads for the kids to dress up with!

Charlotte loved all the wagons at Summer's Past and was often trying to talk someone into pulling her around the field!
When she did finally sit down for tea, she was very sloppy and spilled frequently. She had never actually had real liquid in her tea pot! It was a whole new surprise for her!Charlotte was very sweet to Markus! The four hooligans...
We finally had cupcakes and we hardly got to sing Happy Birthday before the cupcakes were devoured!

After having her sugar fill, she set off after the big kids!
She decided she was content in the wagon, even if no one was pulling her!
And then she had another cupcake...
Lisa took a rest on the blanket and Charlotte thought it was a good idea to law down with her!
The big kids were so great playing pretend together!
Once the big kids were off playing and it had quieted down, Charlotte opened her presents. She was so happy to get her very own Tiny!
Lilly was very patient and watched Charlotte open presents!
Daddy called and Charlotte had a nice long conversation with him while I pulled her around the field in the wagon!
We went over to the playhouse and Syrus told Charlotte the house was for boys only. Charlotte didn't seem to care.
Abby tried to take a picture of Charlotte and I but she was not very cooperative!
A lady offered to take our picture together, and I can't believe all the kids were actually smiling/looking at the camera! Even Abby and I are smiling!
Charlotte really enjoyed the bunny, it is her favorite stuffed animal, she was thrilled to see a real one!
Even thought we were having a great time, it was time for a nap and Charlotte fell asleep shortly after we got in the car! It was a successful birthday party! Thanks to all our friends for celebrating with us!

Blocks!

We had a very fun birthday today... I will try to get a blog about that up tomorrow... but in the meantime, Charlotte has been really enjoying her blocks that Grandma and Bubba got her for her birthday! I had these Little Tikes blocks when I was a kid and I have very fond memories of playing with them. Grandma wanted to get Charlotte something special so I suggested these, and Charlotte was thrilled! We of course had to set them up as soon as they came. Daddy is going to have a blast playing with these!

Happy 2nd Birthday Charlotte!

Charlotte turns two today! What an amazing two years it has been getting to watch our little baby turn into a little girl! I could have never imagined it possible to love someone else so much... even when she won't cooperate for my photo shoot grrrr. I can't believe it has already been two years since we brought her into the world and I can't imagine life without her! We love you Charlotte! Happy Birthday!

(apparently this is how she felt the whole time, finally she just kept telling me NO, she had enough photos!)

Sunday!

On Sunday afternoon I took our friends Kelley and Ben's engagement photos. Lynsie and Willie came to stay with Charlotte while we were taking pictures. Charlotte woke up while we were gone and they took her down to the park to play! When we got home, Charlotte was happy to show off to us all and Baylie enjoyed the sandbox. (I know Grandma, enough with the dumb dog, but Chris misses Baylie too!)Charlotte was quite the showoff!
She cried her head off when it was time for them to leave!
Shortly after they left, Abby came with Syrus and Lilly! Charlotte was very willing to push Lilly in the car!
They did a great job taking turns, but part of the reason Charlotte could push Lilly was because Lilly was pedaling with her feet too. Charlotte doesn't know how to, therefore she didn't get very far!
It was very cold even though the sun was out, so we went inside. Auntie Abby wrapped the girls up in the blankets like a cape!

Abby and I were cleansing so we didn't eat, but we made dinner for the kids. They had a blast sitting together!
Syrus wanted to play with bath toys, so we drew up a bath for the kids. Charlotte has been completely boycotting baths the past few weeks. She screams and screams, won't sit down, its just not fun. So after washing her quick and getting her out, she proceeded to have a great big tantrum. Once Lilly was out of the tub too, the girls played on the bed while they waited for Syrus to be done playing.
Abby read the girls a story. They were very cute in their matching pajamas!

Then it was time to be ponies. Lilly is fascinated with pony's and loves to run like a pony. They ran and ran down the hall!
She talked Charlotte into being a pony too!
When it was time to go the kids gave each other hugs and said goodbye!
It was a very fun day!
