Fun

Wednesday morning Charlotte and I went to the Zoo. We saw lots of monkeys and the elephants. We also rode the skyfari twice, and it was VERY cold! Charlotte loves the skyfari and was not happy when we had to wait for 5 minutes for them to open it!We stayed for about two hours which was enough for us. Charlotte was whiny and tired and just wanted to watch the Happy Feet 4D movie that they play at the Zoo, however it wasn't playing just yet and she was not happy. She somewhat settled for the elephants but after a short time we took the skyfari back and went home!
Yesterday was a special day. I picked Charlotte up from school early, which she was eating lunch. She informed me when I walked in that she needed to finish her lunch at the table before we left... We finally headed over to Daddy's work to check out some helicopters!
They were very loud and windy but Charlotte loved them!
She had a blast hanging out with Daddy!
I think her favorite part was riding around in the 4-wheeler!

She wanted to be strapped in, but then realized she couldn't reach the steering wheel!
Finally Daddy got to go check out the helicopter. We had to wait until he was done doing his work to go see it, but Charlotte didn't want to wait. She was very tired and was having a hard time listening, so she walked off towards it by herself. She didn't get too far before she figured she better come back!
Finally Daddy was done and he took Charlotte to check it out. I think she preferred it from far away!

Since we got home too late we didn't put Charlotte down for a nap. We took a break and watched a movie then headed down to the park. Charlotte loves going to the park and not playing on the playground, but digging in the dirt looking for bugs and making stick forts with Chris. I don't think he could be happier!

Valentine's Day!

Well, I finally broke out the camera. The pictures aren't the best, but hey, at least there are pictures! Yesterday we went over to Zoey and Hayden's and decorated cupcakes. Charlotte was a little unhappy that they were being so loud and silly. I don't know where my quiet obedient kid came from (most of the time). She waited patiently for the cupcakes to cool off!

She had a great time eating cupcakes, or should I say eating frosting?
Nothing like waiting until the last minute to make Valentines. Charlotte sponge painted hearts for her Valentine's for her friends at school today, and then her kind mommy cut each one out, put a border on it and let her tape a lollipop to the back! I thought they came out very cute!
This morning we gave Charlotte a little basket of Valentine goodies. Since she doesn't like chocolate she got a lot of Snoopy and stickers. She spent a good amount of time writing in her Snoopy notebook with her Snoopy pencil. She would actually scribble on the line, like she was writing and she informed us that it said "Happy Valentine's Day".
She of course wouldn't smile for the camera, and when I asked her to show me her pretty shirt she covered it up with her hands.

And then she shone her flashlight in my face... The best part of the morning was when she was walking to the car with her bag of Valentines. She dropped it on the grass and very casually under her breath said "Shit!", picked the bag up and proceeded to the car. I know that is horrible, but I laughed for about the next half hour.
She had a very fun day at school passing out and receiving Valentines. She didn't eat any of her fruit at lunch and told me her belly was full because she had a cupcake! It was definitely a sugar filled day, as soon as she got home she went right to work on her Valentine candy. Her teeth were brushed extra good tonight!

More Phone Pictures and Videos!

We finally had some "winter" weather this week, in other words, a few rain showers. Even though it was hardly raining when Charlotte went to school this week she insisted on having her rain jacket and umbrella handy in case of threatening skies...Wednesday I had a doctor appointment that was early and I needed to bring Charlotte with me. After sitting in traffic for 45 minutes I called to inform them we would be late. I was notified that our doctor was sick and they were canceling their patients. A call would have been nice!!! So Charlotte and I went and got our nails done instead! It was her first mani/pedi! She wasn't too sure what to think at first but once they were done she loved them! Of course she picked out purple polish!

There even happened to be a Jamba Juice next door so we had to stop. Charlotte enjoyed a bag of pirates booty and her own little juice. Then we went to get the baby a few little things. We need to work on Charlotte's clothing taste a little.
Yesterday morning Charlotte had dance. She loves going. It was raining a bit again so of course that warranted rain boots...
She payed much better attention this week than last. She will tell you that she only got one sticker last week because she had trouble listening. This week she got two she was happy to report!
She is growing up so fast. Halfway through class they stop and switch their tap shoes to their ballet shoes. While most of the other kids still need help getting them on and off, Charlotte got her tap shoes off all by herself, and put on her ballet shoes. She then went and sat on a sticker and waited for her friends to be ready!
After dance we came home and made lunch. Charlotte helped Chris make his sandwich. We figured out why she is so eager to help. She just likes to spread Dede's jam, and after each spoonful she licks the spoon...
Charlotte really wanted to go to the park after nap but it was cold and still kind of wet out, so we decided to take her bowling. She was very excited but it was much different than when we went over Christmas break in New Hampshire. This was real bowling and the balls were much bigger and heavier. Even a 6lb ball was a bit much for her! Luckily they had little ramps to push the ball down and she enjoyed it.
Daddy beat Mommy and Charlotte. Bowling at 39 weeks pregnant is a bit interesting. There were a couple of times I thought I might roll down the lane as well. Next time I'll be back on my game!

This morning we had some more showers so we just hung out and picked up and played. Charlotte found my old glasses and thought she was very funny with them on!
This afternoon the weather cleared up and we walked down to the park. Only once we got there Charlotte decided she would rather sit and watch the kids play than actually play. She looked at bugs with Daddy and then they made a little fort out of twigs. It was a fun afternoon!
I've uploaded some videos from dance yesterday and then one from bowling. I couldn't pick just one so enjoy!!!

Tricycle!

Charlotte's new big accomplishment is that she can pedal a tricycle! She has been anxious to show us the "bike yard" at school, which we see every day, and never see her in! Apparently she has been practicing though because last week she took us into the bike yard, hopped on a tricycle and off she went! She was very excited to try her own trike when we got home. She still needs some help with the steering as she kept running into walls...She was pleasantly surprised when a school bus went by that she just had to wave to it!
Chris had the great idea to hook Baylie up to Charlotte's bike. A Jack Russell plus an almost 3 year old who can't steer hooked up together isn't exactly what I would call a good idea. It didn't take long for Baylie to pull the bike over and Charlotte went crash onto the sidewalk.
After nap we went down to the park so she could ride it on the smooth paved circle. She liked this idea much better and did a great job working on her steering!
Enjoy the video!

Weekend

I haven't taken my camera out in a while... Partially because I am too tired to put effort into taking pictures, and second because Charlotte HATES having her picture taken now. Saturday morning we went to dance class. Charlotte was thrilled to go. She had a teensy bit of a hard time listening. By teensy I mean REAL hard time. She thought it was hysterical to not listen to Miss. Danielle.

Saturday afternoon we went down to one of Chris' friends birthday parties. It was a blast. They had a live band and Charlotte danced until the band went home.
Sunday morning we spent a home playing. We made a fort with the blocks and yes she is in the same outfit from the night before! She fell asleep in the car and neither Chris or I dared to change her clothes once she was asleep!
We spent a good majority of yesterday morning playing in the bathtub. Charlotte went fishing for letters!
She thought this was the best game ever.
Then she played IN the tub for about another hour. Charlotte and I made a rainbow out of the letters. When Chris came back in the bathroom Charlotte was so excited to tell him we made a rainbow. She then asked him to make a pony out of the letters.
Yesterday afternoon we went over to friends for a Superbowl party. Sadly, the Patriots didn't win, but we had fun anyway!
We also got a great yard sale deal this weekend. A bike trailer, which has an attachment that you can buy to put ski's on! Here's to hoping we get a lot of use out of it next winter!!!
