Apple picking with Preschool!

Tuesday morning Charlotte and I went with her preschool on a field trip to the apple orchard! She was a little sassy since I was there, but for the most part she enjoyed herself. Charlotte's teacher likes to take pictures too so I gladly took some when she organized the kids for different pictures! 

There are four girls in Charlotte's class and five boys. The girls are so cute!

After they were done picking Mrs. P sent them on a few sprints to get some energy out!

Mr and Mrs Smith own the orchard and were happy to pose for a photo with the kids!

They had snack together, and of course Charlotte pretended she didn't like grapes and blueberry bars...

We were so lucky to be the only ones in the orchard!

The kids learned how to properly pick the apples, twist not pull. Half the time they came off with a whole branch attached...

We had a great time and I am so glad I get to go on field trips!!!

Sweet Girls!

Charlotte (usually) just loves Caroline to pieces. She now asks to hold her and I will catch her trying to pick her up... Caroline thinks Charlotte is hilarious (or Calarious as Charlotte says). In fact, it took about 2 hours for Caroline to fall asleep yesterday at nap time because Charlotte wouldn't leave her alone. Chris went in at one point and Charlotte had her stool next to the crib and they were hysterically laughing at each other. While I am glad they like each other I was really counting on naps... We played outside for a bit yesterday and Charlotte was loving on Caroline. They are pretty fun...

Hike

Saturday afternoon we went for a hike with Colette, Jerry and Rachel. Charlotte was eager to go "exploring". She was not too thrilled though that Caroline got to ride in the backpack carrier and she had to walk! She did pretty good and Jerry carried her quite a bit of the time. She loved it. Caroline enjoyed herself for about half of the hike, she liked when Chris stopped and she could grab leaves! We had a nice little hike/walk and appreciated the actual forest while hiking as opposed to the pretend forests in SoCal! Oh and the cool weather was a great bonus! 

Apple Picking

The apples are ready early this year so we headed out last weekend to pick some! It was a nice fall day, not too hot, which is a nice change from when we usually pick in San Diego! Mimi came over for the day and after we had a girls lunch (Charlotte, Mimi and myself) we went back home to pick up Chris and Caroline to go to the orchard! There were tons of apples and it didn't take us long to fill up our bags! We had lots of fun, Caroline really enjoyed eating the apples and crawling after them! We are looking forward to going back with Charlotte's school!!

 Caroline loved her apples, and crawling after them too. It kept rolling away from her!

 Charlotte took a break from picking and had a snack with Caroline.

 Caroline also enjoyed eating grass.

 Charlotte did a great job picking, although she wanted to pick the ones up high of course!
