Soccer

Charlotte had her first soccer class yesterday at the Rec Center. It "Preschool Soccer" and they just play little fun games. The benefits of being in a small town is they group them according to school or daycare, so Charlotte is in a group with some kids from her 2 day program, and some kids from the older 3 day program at the same school. A lot of the kids were on vacation, so she only knew one other little boy but she had fun!

Friday was almost 70 degrees out but yesterday morning was in the 40's and very windy. Charlotte was cold and she let us know! She started off a bit shy but warmed up once Caroline decided she was going to participate also.

Caroline was not afraid to get down and run around kicking the soccer ball!

Charlotte did a good job participating in the warm up.

She played most of the games without pouting...

Then at about the 40 minute mark she started "looking at the mountain" through her hands while standing in the middle of the field.

She then fell and hurt her finger and made sure everyone knew. Shortly after that she had to use the bathroom. We called it a day as there were only 10 minutes left. Not to mention the fact that Caroline was in the car with Mimi to keep her hands from turning any more shades of blue and purple she was so cold! Next weekend should be warmer and more of Charlotte's friends should be back from vacation!

A Warmer Day!

Yesterday we met Jenni and Marcus at the park for a picnic because it was so nice out. It was a little breezy but the temperature got into the 70's! I think Jenni and I were the only ones who actually ate their lunch, and Caroline who insisted on sitting on Jenni's lap and eating her lunch.
We had just come from the Chiropractor and Charlotte was such a kind big sister to decorate her sister's back with stickers!
Caroline really loves the swings. I couldn't get her off them once we headed that way. She had such a great time!

After Caroline had a little nap it was even warmer out so we headed to the sandbox. I don't think Caroline has ever really been in the sandbox and she was a little nervous about getting in at first! Then she warmed up! She only tried the sand in her mouth once and I think she decided that was all the taste she needed! Looking forward to the spring weather!

Vacation Week!

This week Charlotte is on school vacation. We headed over to NY at the last week, missing a day of school to see Peter Pan! Charlotte and I had a special day together. First went to Friendly's for lunch where Charlotte enjoyed some Ice Cream!
Charlotte loved the play, and her favorite part was when Peter Pan flew out over the audience at the end and sprinkled Pixie Dust on us (which I am still finding!). On the way out she picked out a sword, and we met Wendy and Jon!
The next day we met Amy and the kids for lunch and ice cream. Caroline loved having her own bowl and made quite the mess. She provided a lot of entertainment for us all!

Caroline also decided that she wanted to sit on the potty. She was standing in the bathroom after Charlotte went pulling at her pants and yelling so we put her on. She proceeded to Pee and Poop immediately.
She has been continuing to love sitting on the potty and pooped once more (I know, lovely information) and has peed a few more times, but mostly she just likes to sit, wipe and then flush. Then she will get up and pee on the floor.
While we were at mom's the girls helped her juice. Although Caroline needs direct supervision so she doesn't get her hands chopped off...
The girls also tried on their potential dresses for Ellen and Jake's wedding!
Charlotte has been obsessed with eating raw carrots lately. Not baby ones, the full on big carrots. And she carries them around with her in a little pouch. Caroline just wants whatever Charlotte has.

The girls had fun playing at Grandma's and causing trouble.

We got home yesterday and Caroline tried on her new lifejacket for this summer since we have a feeling she will be running into any body of water... She didn't want to take it off!

Yesterday Charlotte and I went to my doctors appt and ultrasound to see Baby #3, due in September! Caroline wasn't too thrilled when Charlotte showed her the pictures.
Life is about to get a whole lot crazier!

Ben and Jerry's Free Cone Day!

Today is Free Cone Day at our local Ben and Jerry's, so after we picked Charlotte up from school we headed down the street to get some ice cream! It also happens to be our friend Jenni's Birthday so we met her and Marcus there as well. Charlotte was very grumpy as she has been lately and was complaining she was cold and did not want any pictures being taken, of her or anyone else. Caroline was just in heaven. I got her a cone and let her just go to town. She did great until she got up and ran towards the traffic wandered around and fell in the dirt. Then she had a strawberry and dirt ice cream cone, but she didn't seem to mind. I have a feeling this might be a trip we make more often after school (for the girls not me)!
