Lisa's Visit- Hapgood Pond

While Lisa was here, Chris had Tuesday off, so we packed up the kids and headed up to Hapgood Pond to go swimming. The water was nice and shallow and the kids just loved it! It was also filled with tadpoles, salamanders and all sorts of creatures!

 Finding all sorts of creatures kept them busy for a long time!

 Part of the challenge was keeping Markus and Caroline from dumping the bucket containing all the creatures out!

 For a while we had the whole place to ourselves!

 We brought lunch and Caroline insisted on sitting at the big picnic table with everyone. She finished eating and wanted to sit again, which I told her to go play. So she instead climbed up onto it herself!

 After lunch there was was a lot more searching for creatures taking place!

 Then finally they decided to actually go in the water!

 Charlotte and Markus had a little collision on the jumpy the day before and Charlotte ended up with a nice black eye. She thought it was pretty because it had purple in it.

 It was so nice to have Chris there to play with the kids!

The clouds started rolling in and it started to sprinkle so we decided to pack up and head home! It was such a fun afternoon!

Lisa's visit- Swimming

On Sunday Amy and Jim invited us all up to swim in the pool. Between us there were 9 kids, and everyone had a blast! Thanks Amy and Jim for inviting us over!!!

Lisa's Visit- Saratoga!

Last Friday after Charlotte finished her last day of camp, we headed over to the train station to pick up Lisa, Joli and Markus! We were so excited to see them and so glad they came all the way from San Diego to visit us! Since they got in at dinnertime, and everyone was tired, we figured we would spend the weekend at Mom's and show them around there before heading back to our house! Saturday we headed up to the park in Saratoga for a picnic lunch, to check out the ducks, carousel and get ice cream!

Mimi was brave and joined us!

 We brought some bread with us to feed the ducks, but realized we weren't suppose to once we got there. The kids were ok with that and enjoyed checking out the pond.

  Once they all started throwing gravel into the pond we decided it was time to head over to the Carousel!

 It was Caroline's first time on a Carousel and she wasn't quite sure what to think of it!

 The big kids all loved it!

 We had extra tokens so the kids rode twice, Caroline watched the second time and enjoyed waving as they passed!

 The clouds were starting to roll in so we hurried over to Ben and Jerry's for ice cream. We arrived just before it started to pour!

 Luckily there was a pavilion that the kids sat in and ate their ice cream before we ran across the street back to the car!

Caroline was sure to get herself good and dirty before we drove home!
