Ellen and Jake's Wedding

Saturday was Ellen and Jake's wedding! We had all been waiting for the day to come for a long time. Charlotte was very excited to be the Flower Girl! We got there a bit early in attempt to take some photos beforehand.

Caroline was less than thrilled with the picture taking idea. She had had a fever since Thursday (you wouldn't have known) and it finally broke Saturday, but I think she was still worn out. She also wouldn't put down her smoothie.
Charlotte was super excited to see Ellen when she arrived!

We went inside and waited for the ceremony to begin!
Ellen made her bouquet out of love letters Jake had written her while they were dating! It was beautiful!

Finally it was time and the girls did a great job! I on the other hand did not, I only got 4 blurry photos of them. I didn't want to get in the photographers way and they walked a few steps, saw me and started running.
Caroline lasted about 30 seconds in Church and Chris took her outside, hoping she would fall asleep in the stroller. That didn't happen.
Charlotte made it about a half hour before she was getting antsy, so we went out to find Caroline and Chris.

It wasn't long before the service was over and Charlotte was excited about throwing rice at Ellen and Jake!
We hung out for a bit to take pictures with the Bride and Groom!

Caroline decided she had had enough and set off with her lunchbox and flowers.
We got a few pictures of the girls with Jake and Ellen.

And a few with Grammy and Papa.

They didn't quite cooperate much at this point.

Finally we shipped them off with wonderful Lynsie who took them back to the house, fed them, took them to the park and for ice cream and then put them to bed! Meanwhile, Chris and I enjoyed a child free reception!!! It was a wonderful day!

Blueberry Picking, with Daddy!

Since Chris missed out the last time we picked blueberries, we decided on Sunday to go back and actually pick! The blueberries were much more plentiful and Chris was determined to get lots of berries to freeze.
We of course had our wonderful little helpers with us...

We picked in the very back patch this time and were delighted to see some fresh Bear poop, which Chris of course had to examine.

The girls were troopers and played/picked while Chris and I filled our buckets... and competed on who could get more!
This picture pretty much sums it up... Charlotte standing nicely, Caroline trying to climb something... and squish berries.

We got about 13 pounds all together!
Charlotte enjoyed a popsicle while Chris ran to the ATM for some more cash... We highly underestimated how long and how many berries we would actually pick!
While we were waiting, two ladies who were picking in the back field with us came in to pay and informed everyone that there was a bear in the back field! I did hear something in the woods while we were picking but didn't say anything in case it was just a squirrel... but turns out it was the bear! Chris also saw a bear cross the road while he was driving to the ATM. He is eagerly waiting until September 1st when hunting season begins...
