Pumpkins

Our local pumpkin patch seemed to be picked over pretty good even by the first weekend in October, and there were no pumpkins growing in the field like their normally are. So we stalled, and looked for cool pumpkin patches to take the kids to... but we kept coming up with nothing. So we finally went to the pumpkin patch over by Mom and Grandma's to get some photos. There were animals there to feed which I think was much more exciting than pumpkins.

The kids were extremely uncooperative. Charlotte was ok, but the little ones were just miserable.
The group shot was a bust...

Killian wasn't too impressed with the pumpkins either.

Caroline was happy for a brief moment when she decided to rearrange the pumpkins.

Caroline of course found things to climb on.
Since she wanted to get in the wagon, we attempted a photo in the wagon... It didn't work.

And that was that. I conveniently got a couple pumpkins to carve at Trader Joes, and Chris and I stopped at the nursery and got the kids pumpkins... without the kids. Maybe next year will be more successful!

Visit to Amy and Jim's

Chris had a few days off in the middle of the week so we made the trip over to New York. We stopped first at Amy and Jim's so the rest of the family could meet Killian.

Caroline thought Amy's cooking was delicious!

Amy bought Killian's beer for the occasion.
Molly is getting so big and she just loved holding Killian.
Jim was a trooper and even got puked all over. I am still amazed he didn't change his shirt afterwords!

Caroline loved helping Rory make bracelets. I am not sure how much Rory loved the help but he was a good sport!

We had a lovely time and the kids enjoyed having more kids to play with!

An afternoon outside.

Chris has been working on the leaves, as you are aware of I'm sure. The girls and I went out with him when he was doing the side of the house  a couple weeks ago. The girls found the recycling bin and thought it was a great idea to jump in. I think there might be a pretty big redemption value!

Caroline decided to help Chris with the rake. She didn't get very far. We have a lot of trees.
It wasn't too cold so Killian came outside to watch too.

Caroline has a hard time leaving him alone.

Caroline was filthy. Covered in dirt.
She got a big kick out of the fact that the front door was open and I was sitting in the mudroom. She took this as an opportunity to try on shoes. Charlotte's shoes. She thought it was so funny to get mis-matched ones.

Once Killian went inside she hopped in his seat. She still thinks she's the baby. Luckily she is small enough that she won't break anything. Knock on wood!

Preschool Halloween Parade

The day before Halloween, Charlotte's school had their annual parade and Trunk-Or-Treat. We just so happened to get our first snow dusting of the year and the kids were very excited on our way to school!

We dropped Charlotte off and came home to hang out for a bit before heading back for the parade. Mimi and her friend Kelly came over to help me with Killian and Caroline. The kids sang songs and danced and then were ready for their candy!
