Bowling

The Friday after Christmas we packed up and headed over to Massachusetts to visit Lucy and the gang. We arrived early afternoon and headed down the road to go candlepin bowling! It was Caroline's first time, and Charlotte hadn't been in a while so they were very excited!

Lucy helped Caroline out for a while before she wanted her Daddy to help her.

Grammy chose to sit with a sleeping Killian instead of bowl. I can't say I blame her!

The girls cheered on Jack, who was extremely good at bowling.

He also has great poses and victory dances.
Dillon helped his Daddy bowl for a while, then decided to snuggle. He is about 6 weeks older than Killian. We see lots of trouble making in their future!

Hannah snuggled with her Grandma, and it just so happened to be Lucy's birthday!

Caroline eventually got in trouble, well Chris got in trouble, when Caroline had about 6 balls rolling slowly down the lane together at once...
Charlotte and Amy had a great time.
Hannah also perfected her victory dances.
And Killian continued to sleep, up until we were ready to go. What a good baby!

We went back to Lucy's and had dinner and played for a while more before heading to Grammy and Papa's!

Snow Play at Grammy and Papa's

Last weekend we spent at Grammy and Papa's. There are usually years where there is no snow there, which is a shame because it is so beautiful in the woods when it snows. Not to mention that Grammy and Papa have an awesome driveway for sledding!  We got the kids ready to go out and play, they were very excited.

We did a little sledding down the small hill instead of the driveway this time. The girls had a blast.

Killian watched and I'm sure can't wait until next winter when he gets to join his big sisters!
Charlotte made some snow angels.
She taught Caroline how to make them also.
Grammy gladly held Killian while I took some pictures!

Killian wasn't a fan of the snow.
Daddy finally got ready and joined us outside!
The girls were thrilled to him him pull them down the driveway!

Papa came out just in time to get a crying baby!
Charlotte set to work making a snowman.

While Caroline tried to ride the tricycle!
The girls ate carrots while they built their snowman.
They found some pine needles for the hair.
Then they searched the woods for perfect sticks for the arms.

Meanwhile, one of our favorite people showed up... Ellen!
The kids were thrilled to spend the afternoon with her!

Caroline and Killian eventually went inside and Charlotte finished up her snowman, who she named Frosty.

What a fun morning!

A Chilly Day

Happy New Year! What started out as a little photo shoot with Killian this afternoon turned into a quick family photo op. Even though he decided to scratch his nose yesterday, which Caroline very happily points out by announcing "BABY, BOO BOO" every time she sees him. Killian was so smiley, and the light looked pretty good with the snow outside making it fairly bright in the living room, so I brought out the camera! I put on my new doggie lens buddy (a little dog that goes over the lens to attract young children to look) and everyone loved it. Caroline was very willing to smile for the doggie. It was the first of a two day snowstorm here, and sadly with the temperatures in the single digits, with wind chills well below zero, the kids didn't get to go out to play. We stayed in and appreciated having Daddy work from home while it snowed outside! It was a nice way to start the new year!
