Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day! We woke up this morning (Charlotte is back to only waking up once, so sleeping for like 6-7 hours, waking up, eating, going back to sleep for another 4!) and gave Chris his father's day present! He was so surprised! Charlotte and I went to get her handprints in clay one night while he was working late, then I told him last weekend I needed to go shopping for him, leaving Charlotte at home. I went back and painted her hands. He had no idea she was involved!

I got her dressed in her "I love my Dad" shirt and we made french toast for breakfast!

Father's Day Weekend!

We decided we would make the weekend Chris' to do what he wanted, so we went for a hike! Chris even got Charlotte dressed this morning. I saw her in her carseat and started laughing. He was so confused as to what I thought was so funny. Apparently a blue romper with lemons on it needs a pink and green skirt to go over it!

Chris wore the new wrap we got with Charlotte in it. It is like the Moby, but has the fabric in loops so you don't have to go through the trouble of wrapping it all around you! She can face outwards in it also which is nice for when she wants to see what is going on!
Lisa and Joe came with us! The boys were the designated child carriers. 
There was a nice little bridge going across a stream when we started out. Brody thought this was great fun!

The view from the top of the mountain where we stopped. This was as far as I could make it! We stopped and had lunch, and Lisa tried to relax. It didn't work so well!
We decided to take a family picture before we went back down! Going down was much easier and we sang songs most of the way! Charlotte wasn't interested and slept instead!

Friday night dinner!

Tonight we went to Lisa and Joe's for dinner... again. Chris worked late, and when he called on the way home I told him Charlotte and I were at Lisa and Joes, to which he responded "YES! I was hoping they would invite us over!" We had fun as usual. Charlotte was awake most of the night then started squawking. Chris assumed she was hungry to which Lisa and I both replied "she just ate!". Lisa held her and rocked with her and she went right to sleep. She took a little cat nap and woke up and was ready to stare at her best friend Joli!

Zeus the kitten wanted some love too and ran and dove onto Chris' face/chest!
Lisa somehow got stuck with both girls. Joli sat with me for a while and we tried to convince her daddy to get us frozen yogurt. He told her he had no money and she told him she had some money in her piggy bank for him to use! 
Lisa was playing airplane with Charlotte. She luckily didn't spit up on her, which she has been doing ALL day!
Joli convinced Joe to play airplane with her too!
Lisa tried to get Charlotte to walk... she wasn't very interested. We came home and she passed right out! 

The Beach!

Lisa has been putting together weekly play dates and today's was at the beach! We packed up the laundry basket with an umbrella, chair, Bumbo, Blanket and diaper bag! We got there first and found a spot. Charlotte was still a little curious as to what was going on. 

Then Lisa and Joli came and she brightened right up!

Brody wanted to be in the shade too and squirmed his way under my chair to have a piece of the blanket to rest on! Lisa finally attached him to her umbrella and filled his water bottle with sand so he was confined!
We decided Joli looked like the baby from the Water Babies sunblock bottle... She was so cute with her sunglasses on. We tried to get her and Charlotte to both smile...
We walked down to the ocean but I was nice and spared Charlotte from having to put her feet in. We'll wait a few more months to be that mean!

You Can't Always Get What You Want!

Friends!

Tonight we had Lisa and Joe, and Shane and Abby over for dinner. This meant there were 4 children under the age of 3 in the house! While I made dinner, Lisa and Abby hung out outside with the kids. Charlotte and Lilly were playing together so nicely!

Since Baylie is still on vacation at Grandma and Grandpas, Lisa and Joe brought over their new puppy, Brody. Chris loved having a dog around the house again! Brody loved to chew on his practice golf balls, just like Baylie!

Charlotte was in a much better mood today. (Yesterday she screamed all day long... she went to bed at 6:30, which meant she was up at 5:30 this morning...) Joe says "boo" to her and she just laughs and laughs!
Shane and Abby have a little boy who is about 6 months younger than Joli. After we had desert, the kids were hyped up on sugar and were chasing each other around the backyard. Joli said she got "dizzy" and had to rest. Syrus was pleading with her to keep running!

Brody was tired from all the playing too, so he slept!

Charlotte is down and out and were keeping our fingers crossed for an easy week ahead!

A lazy morning!

Chris has been working hard all week, and so have I!! Yesterday Charlotte was either sleeping or screaming. It was not fun. We decided we would TRY to sleep in this morning. Charlotte had other plans...She was trying so hard not to act sleepy so we would get up and play with her, but she let out this big yawn!
Charlotte really needs to be on her tummy more, but she HATES it. So we try to put her on our chests instead. She doesn't really like that either but its a little bit of an improvement. The only problem is that when she is happy enough to do tummy time, she usually has a full belly! Right before I took this she spit up all over Chris' neck... it was awesome! Notice the burp cloth placed underneath her...
