Plane Ride!

We left San Diego today to come to the east coast for a few weeks. Even though Charlotte and I were just home, Chris didn't get to visit and we both wanted to come home in the fall. The plane ride here was pretty good. We were pretty excited that neither flight was full, so we had a whole row to ourselves. Charlotte sat in the seat and played for quite a bit. Then she decided that since she hadn't pooped in a week, 20 minutes into the flight would be a good time to do so!Charlotte fell asleep in my arms, and our drinks came. Chris thought it would be fun to spill them all over me and Charlotte's blanket... So the stewardess brought him a new drink, complete with a lid!
Charlotte woke up and played for a bit more! She was really good!
Baylie was pretty good too... she got bored and ripped a hole in her bag. The bag has been mended by Chris many times, I think it's time for a new one!
Charlotte thought the clouds were interesting, and liked looking out the window. We had a pretty good trip, no delays, a very short layover, and our bags came out while we were still waking to the baggage claim! We're here safe and sound and are loving the nice cool air!

Mommy and Daddy Time!

This weekend we enjoyed our time with Charlotte, but also were spoiled by having two nights out by ourselves! Last night we brought Charlotte to Lisa and Joe's and Chris and I went to see Dave Matthews Band! It was awesome!

We did manage to have lunch as a family yesterday. Charlotte loved the french fries... sucking on fingers is a close second!Tonight we went to our friend Bill and Ari's wedding! Lisa came over without Joe and Joli tonight, and had a mini vacation she says. Check out her blog for pictures. She wouldn't share them with me until after she blogged about the evening! We took a family picture before we left, but Charlotte was more interested in chewing on my scarf!
The wedding was beautiful. They got married in the Japanese Friendship Gardens. Here are the bride and groom on a rock in the middle of the Koi pond. This was the backdrop for the ceremony!
The gardens were beautiful, and we took the opportunity to try out the self-timer on my new camera! Worked great!
Here is the groom with Chris. We had a lot of fun and it was a lovely event! We are so glad Charlotte has a wonderful second mother babysitter!

Family Time!

Chris is officially on leave! We are so excited to get some family time! Tonight we played in the backyard with Baylie. Charlotte loves to watch Baylie chase the ball!
It was really warm today, but cooled off nicely tonight. Charlotte loved her hoodie!
She is getting a lot happier when on her belly! Maybe she will start crawling soon!
Baylie doesn't quite understand that Charlotte can't throw the ball yet!
Chris loves his girls!
Charlotte gets so excited when Baylie runs!
She has gotten really good a sitting up! She hardly needs any help. Only occasionally does she topple over!
After playing outside, Charlotte had a bath. I think Chris has more fun that she does!

Def Leppard!

Tonight I stayed home with Joli and Charlotte so that everyone could go see Def Leppard and Poison. It wouldn't have been any fun if there weren't any costumes!Charlotte thought Daddy looked funny all dressed up!
Joli started crying when Little Bear came over... but once we told her who it was she was all about him!

Swinging!

I bought Charlotte an outdoor swing recently since we like to spend time in the backyard and I thought she would too! Yesterday was a rough day. Charlotte didn't take an afternoon nap, and screamed a good part of it. The only way I could get her to stop was to put her in the swing, or nurse her constantly. While I think being a human pacifier is a great idea... I wasn't really into it!
Chris did a temporary install so she could try it out and she loved it!
Part of the reason she was so unhappy was because she hadn't pooped in a week! She finally did this morning and she feels much better!
I did manage to get a smile out of her though!
We went to the pediatrician this morning for her 6 month check-up. She is doing great, weighs 15lb 9oz, is 25 inches long, and has a big head. She is healthy and happy!

Life with Two!

Tonight we got a taste of what it would be like to have two children. Lisa and Joe went to a concert so we watched Joli. We were invited to go to Robyn's parents house for dinner and brought the girls. Little Bear was there and tried to get a smile out of Charlotte!
Charlotte was so tired but fought to stay awake. Robyn held her for a bit before we put her down for a nap.
Robyn's neices were there also. Joli is right in the middle age-wise of both of them. She had a blast! They played princesses and hide and seek, congratulated each other on using the potty, and overall had a BLAST. Joli didn't ask for her mommy and daddy once the whole night!
All the girls had color coordinating outfits. They were so cute!
Joli loved the corn for dinner. Little Bear made sure she ate her food and helped her butter her corn! Robyn's mom even had little pink silverware for the girls! Joli loved dinner!
Charlotte woke up from her nap and joined us while we finished our dinner. She liked the asparagus!
But what she really wanted was Chris' ice cream! He gave her a taste, and then she was unhappy because she wanted more!
The girls all took a bath and thought it was so much fun to all be in the tub together!!!
After their bath's they watched some T.V. and taught each other how to properly wave the flag!
We had lots of fun, and so did Joli. We came home and put the kids to bed, let the dogs out (we had Brody too so he isn't home alone for too long!) and are ready for bed ourselves! Two kids really tire you out!
