Sorry...

I know I have been delinquent in posting blogs... I apologize! Charlotte has been a mix of being very funny and a pain in my butt lately. Her latest "favorite thing" to do is open the door and leave the house... she gets her stool out of the bathroom and unlocks the doors and tells "I go home, see Mimi, bye!", then she come back and declares "I back!"
She is also starting to really enjoy playing with her baby dolls. Even though she has two doll beds, she insists on putting the dolls in baskets to go to sleep. I guess the thinks that they might get hungry and thirsty in bed too so she gives them some "apple buce".

Last Friday (?) Lisa and Joe came over with the kids. Of course the first thing Joli wanted to do was play dress up. She actually got Charlotte to dress up with her for the first time!

After dinner the kids had mini ice cream sandwiches, Markus really enjoyed his! Charlotte wanted an "ice pop" instead. She doesn't really like chocolate...
They brought Havoc over too, and once Baylie was inside Joe brought him out for a bit. Charlotte was very excited to see the "baby foof".

We went in and decided it was time for a movie, so we put one on in the playroom (best idea ever) until we shut them in and Charlotte had a fit. Ever since though she goes into her playroom and shuts the doors. (They are glass french doors so she can see us and vice versa!).
On Saturday the guys got together for lunch and Charlotte and I went to meet them after she woke up. Which of course meant since we were going to be on Coronado we had to make a trip to the candy store!

What could be better than your own bag of candy and a pink balloon???

Being Silly!

Last week we were kind of lazy. Charlotte gave Chris and I her cold, and now we know why she was so grumpy when she had it!! We spent a lot of time lounging... Charlotte loves to hide in the pillows and blankets... Then her and Daddy scare Mama! Eeek!
Charlotte also thinks its fun to torment Daddy!
Can you see Charlotte? The closet is a very fun place to hide!

We then went outside, Chris was cleaning out the shed, which was a disaster, and now is a lovely clean organized shed/workout room! Charlotte found a frisbee in the mess and wanted to play with Baylie!
She went for a little ride in her car, which she has FINALLY figured out how to move by herself!
She also went for a ride on the skateboard that Daddy decided he loves and rides to the corner market at every chance he gets!!!
Its amazing how a 2 year old keeps you entertained!!!

Ponies!

Yesterday afternoon after Charlotte napped, we headed down to see our friend Cierra and her mom at the stables. Cierra used to go to the school that I worked at before I had Charlotte. She has her own horse and invited us to come see it! Charlotte was thrilled with the idea!We waited for Daddy to get home to go with us before we got in the car!
She wasn't too thrilled about me taking pictures, but she just looked so cute!
One last one, then we got in the car!
Charlotte made sure to bring some carrots for Magic, Cierra's horse. She loved them!
Being in Southern California, the horse stables are quite different from New England. There are no barns, instead the horses are all kept in outdoor corrals. Charlotte loved the fact that she could just walk up and feed the "neigh" some "grass".

Eventually it was time for Cierra to have her lesson, so we went to watch her get ready.
We watched her ride around the ring a few times before we headed to get dinner!
It was a blast, Charlotte hasn't stopped talking about the "neighs" since last night! Thanks Cierra and Crystal for inviting us!

Water!

Last week it was very hot... (this week, not so much!). I found a snake sprinkler (like the one Uncle Rodney and Aunt Karen brought up for Charlotte when we were in New York) on sale at the exchange, so I got it for her. After getting a bit wet, she decided she should sweep the water up...She had a blast playing in the sprinkler, clothes on and everything! I think the photos are pretty self explanatory!

She stopped to pick and then eat a tomato...

Apart from the snakes head splitting after using it for about 5 minutes, she had a blast! Chris tied a knot so it now works just fine again!!
