Phone Catch-up

Charlotte continues to love Caroline and is eager to play with her. She recently was teaching Caroline how to use the iPad. Caroline was not interested.Friday after dance class we went with Heather, Josh and Lynsie to the park and then out to lunch. Charlotte's favorite part is always the fountain. We spent at least a half hour there while she threw coins and entertained herself.
Caroline was a good sleepy baby as usual.
Lynsie held her and she was mostly spared from Caroline's spit up.
Friday afternoon Nikki and Karen came over to see Caroline and brought baby Ryan. Charlotte was thrilled that Ryan could ride in her Jeep with her.
Friday afternoon her new car came that she picked out to be her birthday present from Uncle Rodney, Aunt Karen and Kelly. Chris was thrilled that the weight limit on it is 220lbs and he could ride!
Saturday morning Charlotte had dance, Caroline went along for the ride. It was also Chris' birthday. Sadly we didn't do anything too exciting.
Sunday we hung out, it rained all weekend. Caroline enjoyed being snuggled in someones arms.
Charlotte enjoyed staying in her pajamas all day!
Chris was tired... very tired. Mostly from the three year old who wouldn't stop talking...
Today Caroline turned 3 weeks old (well actually in a few hours!). She continues to be a sweet baby, except when it is bedtime, then she wants to be awake and usually squawking. Chris has figured out that she loves the Ergo and he spends most nights between 10 and 12 walking around the house with her in it, doing dishes, laundry, anything that needs to be done so she is quiet and I can sleep!
Charlotte had a dentist appointment today. She did great! She loves the fact that there are televisions on the ceilings and she gets to pick what she wants to watch. Dora was the choice today.
Since she did so well we took her out to lunch. She proceeded to pour rice down her shirt. She is sometimes a charming little three year old.
We then took her to the library since we are pretty much done with naps. She flossed her teeth on the way there. (Note the stickers on her arms... She learned a very good lesson today. Don't put stickers, especially really sticky large princess ones from the dentist, on your arms. They won't come off and it will hurt really badly when Mommy and Daddy try to get the adhesive off for 20 minutes. Hope we never have to do that again!)
After "quiet time", which was really more like "Charlotte coming out of her room 20 times to ask Mommy to change her dolly's clothes time" we headed down to the park for a bit of fresh air. Charlotte of course had to check on Caroline to make sure she was still there.
Lilly taught Charlotte how to lick things and now Charlotte likes to lick everything. Today it was the fence. Thanks Lilly.
Can't believe Sweet Caroline is 3 weeks old already. Thanks Ellen for her cute new hat!!!

Caroline Photo's

Here are some photos of sweet Caroline, (which by the way is the cutest thing to hear Charlotte sing Sweet Caroline to her baby sister!) I took the one in the dress yesterday because we have one of Charlotte in the same dress. Caroline is definitely more fair than Charlotte is/was and seems to have a little bit of a red twinge in her hair! We of course did photos while the Charlotte was asleep, because everything is just so much easier when Charlotte is napping!!!

Chris Goes to Preschool!

It is Community Helper Month at Charlotte's school, and they asked if Chris would come and talk to the kids. Charlotte was very excited that Daddy was coming to school! She patiently waited for him to set everything up.She even got to be line leader!
Ms. Sue called Charlotte up to introduce her daddy. She asked Charlotte what her Daddy did and she said "I don't know!".
But she knew Daddy was hiding in the bushes...
She just couldn't find him!

He slowly emerged from the plants...
All the kids thought it was very cool, Charlotte didn't want to get too close to him because he had pokey twigs all over him!
Charlotte liked his face paint!
He talked about what he did and how he helps our community, the kids got to try on different things, and the teachers did too!
Then for the grand finale all the kids got some camouflage paint on their faces. Of course Charlotte didn't like it and wanted it off immediately after Chris put it on her nose...
The kids have been reporting all sorts of comments to their parents. Charlotte will tell you that Daddy came to work and hid in the trees and we couldn't find him and then he came out of the bushes! She loved having Chris at school!

Caroline's First Bath!

Last night Caroline had her first bath! She also turned two weeks old!! I tried to screen the pictures so you don't have to see Chris in them!!! Charlotte was so excited to give Caroline a bath. Caroline was wonderful and didn't even cry once, even when Charlotte poured water over her head unannounced! She then ate and went to bed and slept wonderfully last night. I think a bath might be in the future more frequently!

Charlotte's Party

Yesterday we had a little party for Charlotte's birthday, but first here are a few pictures of Caroline in her party attire. I was going to put her in a cute dress but it was chilly...

Charlotte was all decked out in purple from head to toe!
Reyna and the twins came, both wearing tutu's!
The big hit of the morning was the cooler filled with ice!

The babies were a big hit with Charlotte too!
Chris worked very hard on Charlotte's cake and it came out wonderful! It was so yummy too! It better have been since he stayed up until 2:30 in the morning finishing it!
Of course when it came time to sing to Charlotte she hid her face!
Then she pushed her friends out of the way because she was afraid they were going to blow out her candles...

Chris made sure each child had a piece of cake and a cupcake so they would go home filled up with sugar. Charlotte loved her cake but wanted to eat it with her hands instead of a fork.
Caroline slept through most of the party.
Abby brought her whole bike/scooter/ride on toy stash and the kids had a blast.
We played and played and did bubbles and chased balloons. I think we were at the park for about 4 hours! Needless to say, we came home and all took naps!
We can't believe Charlotte is three!!!
