Soccer- Week 3

Charlotte had her third week of soccer today. She did pretty well in between her complaining! It was much warmer day and Charlotte now complained that she was too hot. Caroline wasn't wasting any time and got right out there with her soccer ball!
Charlotte was happy at first, then became grumpy quick...

Teddy wanted to see what was wrong with her, but Charlotte was playing hard to get. I have a feeling we may see this same re-enactment 12 or so years from now...
She finally perked up and got to playing.

Caroline was a good cheerleader and clapped...

 ...and ate...

...and stole peoples hairbrushes...
I have no idea what Charlotte complained about this week, other than her head being hot. There were a few instances of pouting, but nothing too terrible.
She did a great job at the shootout at the end, and made both goals.
Caroline decided she wanted to do it too...
She finished off the show with a nice downward dog for all to enjoy!

Planting and Picking

While Caroline was taking a rest on Tuesday, Charlotte and I planted the Cilantro and Basil from the kit that Mimi brought her. She did a great job following the directions. I have a feeling much more gardening will be in the near future!

Once we were finished planting the seeds, we needed to replace our flowers on the dining room table. Charlotte has been making bouquets with Grandma and has become quite the expert at cutting and bunching flowers! I didn't even need to help her!

They are just beautiful! The flowers and Charlotte!!!

Fun outside

While Charlotte was at school on Tuesday, Caroline and I had Marcus over. All they both wanted to do was play outside. I guess after being cooped up all winter it is like an entire new world to them! We started with the bubble machine. Caroline now says "bubbles".
Then they moved onto the riding toys.
It was a match made in heaven... Caroline wanted to just sit in the car, and all Marcus wanted to do was push the cars around. So I got Marcus to push Caroline. They both loved it!

Then Caroline discovered the Tulips are blooming. She really enjoys picking the petals off... even off the ones that aren't open yet...

I told her she needed to just smell them instead, which somewhat worked.!
After a little nap for Caroline and lunch out with Jenni and Marcus, we picked Charlotte up from school. When we got home they both wanted to stay outside, so we played some more since it was so nice.

 Caroline loves to play peek-a-boo.
We finally headed inside and Caroline went down for a little pretend nap while Charlotte and I did some gardening! (Post to follow!)

Yardwork

This weekend Mimi, Grandma and Grandpa came over to help do some yard work. It was a nice warm day, almost too warm and the girls enjoyed being outside and their nice clean yard! We worked on cleaning the basketball court area for the riding toys since our driveway is gravel, and most of the gravel was on the court! I brought out the Cozy Coupe, Roller Coaster and a few little ride on's. Caroline was obsessed with riding in the Cozy Coupe and did not want to share with Charlotte!
Charlotte was a pretty good helper. She loved wearing her garden gloves, but after a while was too hot!
Caroline was very quite and content for a majority of the time.

 She wanted to help too.

Charlotte did a great job scrapping the moss off the court. (So did Mimi and Grandma!)

The yard is looking much better already! Thanks Mimi and Grandma for all your help!
