San Francisco Day 2- Sausalito and Golden Gate Bridge

Friday we decided to go see the Golden Gate Bridge and Sausalito. We stopped on our way across at the Presidio to let Charlotte run around and take some pictures! She was quite happy that she was able to run!

It was cold and foggy but we actually enjoyed the weather!
We headed over to Sausalito for lunch. Charlotte was not happy sitting and eating so Chris ate his sandwich quickly and took Charlotte across the street to play. She fell quite a few times on the cobblestone but "brushed" herself off and kept playing!
Hello shadow!
She ran up and down the steps and tried to climb over the chains to get to the birds near the water!
We moved on to a bigger park near the water.

Charlotte chased birds.

We eventually put Charlotte in the car and drove up Rt. 1 while Charlotte napped. Well, she pretended to nap. She only slept for about a half hour and then was miserable!
On our way back to San Francisco we stopped on the other side of the bridge to take some pictures. It was so windy and cold, but we decided it would be our only chance to take pictures at the bridge.

Upon returning to the car, we discovered that some lovely people decided that they would break into our car and take my purse. The smashed the back passenger window, left my phone on the center console, left Charlotte's dvd player, but took my purse from under my jacket in the backseat. There was glass everywhere, it was freezing cold, and we had to wait for the park rangers to come to file a report, call and cancel all the cards and keep Charlotte warm and entertained in the front seat of the car and away from the glass all over the back seat. We had to drive back into Sausalito to get more money out of the ATM to go across the bridge, because they stole the $15 I had in my purse. Luckily they didn't get much, only things that would inconveneince us... like my eye drops that I still need to use four times a day. We had to search the city of San Francisco to find a pharmacy that actually carried them, and was still open. It was awful. Our spare set of keys for both our cars were also in my bag, and we are lucky they didn't take the car, but now we have to replace the expensive key fobs. Not to mention the next morning was spent getting the window fixed, ordering a new drivers license, filing insurance claims etc. All so some idiot could have $15, oh and they used my card to get $42 worth of gas before I cancelled it. Thanks a lot, just what we needed to do during the short time when Chris is on leave. On a positive note, it could have been much worse and at least we are all safe. What goes around comes around. We tried to stay positive and enjoy the rest of our time in San Francisco.
