A lazy morning!

Chris has been working hard all week, and so have I!! Yesterday Charlotte was either sleeping or screaming. It was not fun. We decided we would TRY to sleep in this morning. Charlotte had other plans...She was trying so hard not to act sleepy so we would get up and play with her, but she let out this big yawn!
Charlotte really needs to be on her tummy more, but she HATES it. So we try to put her on our chests instead. She doesn't really like that either but its a little bit of an improvement. The only problem is that when she is happy enough to do tummy time, she usually has a full belly! Right before I took this she spit up all over Chris' neck... it was awesome! Notice the burp cloth placed underneath her...
Here is a picture from earlier in the week when I was making dinner... She is finally getting big enough for her Bumbo!

M.I.A.

Sorry... I've been horrible about updating the blog this week. Chris has been working long hours and by the time he gets home its time to put Charlotte to bed, eat dinner, and go to bed ourselves! Charlotte developed a case of thrush in the begining of the week, but it started on her lips, which is pretty abnormal, so we didn't know what it was until it spread to her tounge on Wednesday. We saw the pediatrician on Thursday morning, (Charlotte weighs almost 13lbs by the way...) and she prescribed her Diflucan, which is a pretty strong treatment. I've got it too from feeding her, so we both have to be treated! Trying to give a baby medicine is fun... she spit most of it out yesterday, but today I got it all down! Good news, as of this afternoon, it has disappeared from her lips and is just on her tongue a little bit!

Here she is with Lisa in the beginning of the week. She looks so sad!We went to Lisa's for a play date yesterday and Charlotte was content to just sleep. She is so anti-social!
As I type, Charlotte is on the floor staring at the television... I swear I didn't do it on purpose, she just has all of a sudden taken an interest to it!
She looks just like her daddy!

Pool Party!

Today we went to our friend's little boy's pool party! Charlotte was a little tired but she attempted to go swimming. The water was a little too cold for her!
She was much happier sitting poolside with her daddy!
She slept for most of the party, but woke up and was in a pretty good mood! (mom made a comment that she is frowning, but she's just staring at me!)
I can't believe how big she is getting!
Charlotte was fascinated by Lilly! She kept smiling at her, and Lilly was trying to talk to her! They were so cute!

Happy Birthday to Me!!!

Yesterday was my birthday! We woke up and saw that Amy had gotten a free doughnut at Dunkin Doughnuts... with a little research I discovered it was National Doughnut Day! Since Charlotte didn't get the memo that it was my birthday and decided to wake up at 5:45, we went to Krispy Kreme for doughnuts! I have no idea why we got a dozen... we had two and sent the rest to work with Chris!
We went to Lisa and Joe's for dinner... Lisa made my favorite honey chicken! Chris was so nice and got me a pretty birthday cake and Charlotte helped blow out the candles!
Hello Mommy.
Daddy giving Charlotte a taste of cake. She wasn't too interested! Her hand apparently tasted better!
Charlotte loves her Lisa!
For my birthday I decided that I wanted to go see the new Disney movie, Up. Since going to a movie with a 3 month old wouldn't have been a fun experience, we decided to go to the drive in's!
This was only our second time at the drive in's, and Charlotte's first! She liked being able to hang out in the back of the car! Wahoooo!!!
It was past Charlotte's bedtime, and she was getting sleepy! The movie was playing at 8:30, and another showing at midnight. Chris proclaimed "who on earth goes to the movie at midnight?" I guess we really are parents!
Chris made fun of me because I brought basically our couch... minus the couch. It was sure comfy though! It was a great birthday!

Swimming Lessons!

Joli has been taking swimming lessons for quite some time, and there was an opening in their playgroup class so we joined too! Today was the first lesson! Joli was excited to have Charlotte in her class!
Here we are at the pool! Lisa held her for a little bit, and Charlotte peed on her!
Getting ready for lessons!
Charlotte lasted for about 20 minutes out of the half hour class, then started to cry. As soon as I got her out of the pool, showered and dressed, she passed out in my arms. She was exhausted! We can't wait for next week!

Growing baby!

It was a bit premature, but we got a great deal on an excellent used condition Exersaucer and Jumparoo. Charlotte fit (with the help of a blanket behind her!)and liked the exersaucer for about ten minutes!
The Jumparoo was WAY to big for her... her little feet didn't even touch the floor! She liked to stare at the side of it instead of the toys!
It is crazy how much an infant changes, and so quickly! Today Charlotte discovered that she can grab onto the ring! It was so neat to see her doing new things!
Charlotte has been very particular in where she will take naps during the day. She loves to sleep in her hammock at night, and goes to sleep all on her own, but try to put her in it during the day and she throws a fit! She loves to sleep in her swing for naps, and has taken a particular liking to her froggie that Amy got her when I first found out I was pregnant! She likes to grab onto it and pull it up on her face... Silly girl!

Zoo etc.

Yesterday we went with Lisa and Joli to the zoo to get some exercise! We walked through the new elephant exhibit! Here is Charlotte in front of the big elephant! If you look close, she is waving!!!

There are a TON of hills in the Zoo. Charlotte was sure tired by the time we left. (she was just in her stroller not in the car, I know she isn't properly restrained!)
Some days I seriously question if it is mean or not to dress up a small child. This only required putting things over her head twice... and we played peek-a-boo... does that make up for it?? Chris LOVES her socks!
I don't think she was too happy with me, but she just looked so cute!!!
