Sea World

Today Chris had the day off! We went out to breakfast which was a nice treat! Charlotte has almost mastered the pincer grasp and was loving eating her Cheerios. She did miss her mouth from time to time...
After nap we decided to go to Sea World. Chris gets in for free and I have a pass, so we figured even if Charlotte didn't last very long it didn't matter! First stop was the Sea Lions and Seals. Charlotte thought the birds were a little more interesting!
She did like checking out the Sea Lions though! They were very noisy!
We saw the Sharks, and the turtles, and then went to see the Dolphins, which were the coolest. Charlotte was pretty tired at this point and couldn't do much more than stare!
It was playtime for the Dolphins. They had a bunch of balls and would bring them to you to throw! It was so neat! Hopefully next time we go Charlotte will be a little more excited!!!

Dress or Skirt?

I got Charlotte dressed today and brought her out to see Chris. He immediately replied "that is the cutest skirt". We then had a discussion about the differences between a dress and a skirt... He was also confused as to where bloomers go!
We spent some time outside playing with Baylie today. Charlotte was quite the character... She's 8 months old and already resisting cuddling and kisses!

Sand!

This morning we picked up Joli and went to Stroller Strides! Joli picked lots of pretty flowers for her mommy. I told her we should take a picture in case they didn't make it home to Lisa, which they didn't, she happily gave them to her friend on the playground five minutes later! Charlotte and Joli were matching today! I somehow didn't get a picture of them together though, so you will have to use your imagination! After class we stopped at the little beach by the bay. I plopped Charlotte right down in the sand.
After a little examining of what this strange stuff was, it went right in her mouth!
She wasn't so sure, but continued to go back for more until I decided that she had ingested enough sand for the day and we moved on to the playground!

Shake It!

Today we went to Music class. Charlotte loves going! It is 45 minutes long and it always flies by. She does so well the whole class and boogies to the music! Our teacher plays the guitar and sings, and then we use different instruments. Since we all know how rhythmically inclined I am, we thought if we started Charlotte out early she might have a better shot than if her Mommy teaches her how to sing and dance!Charlotte really enjoyed the drum today.

She even liked to chew on it... does that surprise you?!?!
She thought the clappers were the best teether!
We sang a nice song about leaves falling (which doesn't happen out here!!!) and Charlotte loved the "leaves".
Shake it Charlotte!!!

Short but Sweet

This morning Chris got up before us to go to work... well only by 15 minutes. Charlotte and I came out of the bedroom and thought Chris had already left, only to find him hanging clothes on the line in the backyard! Charlotte was so excited to see her Daddy and have a few minutes of fun with him before he had to leave!!

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

This morning we got up early and went over to Balboa Park to participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
Charlotte was decked out in pink ready to go!
Chris was a great husband and ran with us, even though he is much faster than me!
Once we got around some of the crowd we jogged for a bit! It was really hard to maneuver, especially with the stroller!
There were over 15,000 people there! It was crazy!
When we were walking back to the car there were still thousands of people walking below us on the freeway! It was a pretty cool scene!
Thank you to those who sponsored us!!!
