She crawls!

Charlotte has been making progress with her crawling... It started with going backwards, and she would get herself stuck under different pieces of furniture...There was lots of growling, grunting and crying...
...and lots of rests...
...she just didn't understand why Mommy wouldn't just pick her up!
Finally tonight we went over to Lisa and Joe's and after dinner she decided she was going to crawl!
She is a very lazy baby, and got tired so she would stop to take a rest, rub her eyes...
...and then she was off again!
...then she decided it was more fun to play with her shirt than to make the effort to crawl across the room...
...she took a few T.V. breaks...
... and continued on her way...
The saddest part was her Daddy wasn't there to see her crawl :(
Bring on the baby gates!!!

Wagon and Smiles

This afternoon we took advantage of Chris being home and spent some family time playing together. Charlotte is so close to crawling... she can get about two pushes forward before she decides that it is easier for her to go backwards. Then she gets frustrated, puts her head down on the ground and cries. She can go from her belly back up to sitting, and then she scoots and rolls to where she wants to be! She is getting really good at standing and walking with help, and pulling herself up onto things. She loves her wagon and had a lot of fun playing with it today!!!

Music Class!

Our music teacher wasn't going to hold class this session at the boutique where we attended last session, so we decided since we liked it so much and Charlotte gets so much out of it, that we would try to hold a private class at our house! After much planning, we had our first class this morning with four other friends, and it was awesome! Chris got out of work early and was able to do class with Charlotte. They both loved it! I have never seen Chris so enthusiastic with a group of women and babies before! We had a lot of fun!

Playing!

Sunday we woke up and went to the farmer's market. Chris decided he wanted to carry Charlotte in the Ergo on his back. This meant we had to try it out before we left the house... and look in the mirror...We always get Crepes when we go, and Charlotte shared some of my Nutella Crepe! Yum!
Sunday night we went over to Lisa and Joe's for dinner! It was so nice to be all back together again! Joli invited Charlotte to a tea party in her room!
Charlotte loved her tea! This afternoon we had some shopping to do, but it was just so nice out that I decided we would play outside instead. Charlotte found a Tiffany's box... she was searching her wagon for what was inside!
She was checking out Baylie as usual...Charlotte and I had a little battle today. She thinks grass is the best thing ever and loves to eat it. I wouldn't really care, except before we left on vacation I watched the gardeners fertilize the yard... and it makes me a little uneasy to watch her shove the grass in her mouth.

We played with bubbles today too! She was really funny. She couldn't figure out why she couldn't pick them up!
Chris really enjoys this picture. He laughs everytime he sees it, and asks to see it frequently. It's Charlotte's mad face! I really don't think she was mad, it was just the way I captured her face!
And a sweet picture. She is such a good baby. She scooted forward on her belly once today... but that was it. Then it was back to getting herself stuck halfway under the couch because she crawls backwards.... oh well.

From Snowfall to Sunshine

We arrived back home late last night. Charlotte was awake for the first 4 1/2 hours out of the 6 hour plane ride. She was into everything and wanting to play with everybody. It made for lots of entertaining until she finally gave up and fell asleep! Baylie slept under the seat the whole flight and didn't stir one bit! This morning we were greeted with lots of sunshine! It was in the 70's and just a beautiful day! Although we have lots of unpacking to do, we decided to go to the park and have a picnic instead! I think Charlotte enjoyed the sunshine just as much as we did! It's good to be home!
