Hullabaloo

This morning we went to see our favorite kids band Hullabaloo. Of course our friends Lilly, Syrus and Joli came with us! Charlotte and Lilly had fun dancing!Charlotte was very into shaking!
Charlotte is teething like crazy and apparently eating your dress is a good solution to a teether!
After the concert we went over to the playground and played for a bit. They had a four person teeter totter and we put all four kids on it!Since the swings were in high demand we put Lilly and Charlotte in the swing together since they fit! They didn't seem to mind sharing!
It was a beautiful day and we had so much fun!

Music and Sunshine

Since we had a Chicken Pox scare last week... I wanted to make sure Charlotte wasn't going to get sick... so we moved music to today! Charlotte didn't want just two music sticks... she wanted four!I got a text message this morning from Lynsie and Heather saying they couldn't get on a flight today- so they wanted to see if I would mind getting them! It was so fun to have them for another day while the boys were at work! They enjoyed music class too!
Charlotte was thrilled to see them again! She also stole Heather's tambourine!
Charlotte has a love/hate relationship with the sharing ball. I think it is because her Daddy taught her how not to share!
She does not understand the concept of letting someone else have a turn!
Once she has it she is just fine! It's passing it on to another friend and not being allowed to go and get it when she gets mad!
Ms. Dayna brought the big drum today and Charlotte had a blast banging on it and trying to climb on top of it and dance... I think she learned that from Lisa!
We also went for boat rides!
We taught Heather and Lynsie all our favorite songs!
Baylie stayed in the living room with us during class! She used to have to be locked in the bathroom at the other end of the house because she couldn't behave. Today she slept in her bed the whole 45 minutes. Until I decided to take her picture!
After class we headed to La Jolla since Lynsie and Heather had never been. Charlotte was afraid of the ledge and felt much better hiding in Heather's legs!
She did decide to wave to the seals!
Charlotte did really well, and refused to nap once we got home. Oh well. The poor baby just got a new tooth, and has a HUGE bulge where the next one is going to pop through any day now! We had a nice afternoon and it was beautiful out! It is going to be so quiet here tomorrow!

Beach Baby!

Today we joined Abby, Lisa and the kids at the beach! Heather and Lynsie were here and the boys were working, so they came with us too! It was so nice to have TWO extra sets of hands! Charlotte has loved having Heather and Lynsie around. She is the biggest flirt!
At first Charlotte hated the beach. I thought "Oh great, she is just like her mom"!But then she realized she could eat the sand and she was satisfied!

Lisa brought her wagon and the kids had lots of fun playing in it!
Once Charlotte discovered her sand toys she was very pleased!
She figured out that she could fill her bucket with sand! She would alternate, a handful in the bucket, a handful in the mouth! Then she just decided to drink the sand!
She even played in the water with Joli!

It was such a nice day and I am so glad I am starting to get over my sand allergy and accept going to the beach! Charlotte wasn't too sandy, and fell asleep in the car in about 2 minutes!

Progress

Charlotte decided to make a mess today and Mommy let her! Who knew tearing up tissue paper could be so fun?

We went outside this afternoon to play with Baylie. Baylie has been doing SO well. The true test was today after the UPS man came. Baylie hates the UPS man. When the UPS man would come. she was AWFUL. She would start going nuts barking and jumping whenever he would just drive by. Today he delivered a package and she barked maybe about 10 times, and went to her bed when I told her to, and let out a couple barks from her bed, but that was it! Whew! Charlotte thinks all this outside Baylie time is fun, even she like to play ball!
It was very windy out today, as you can see. Charlotte's hair was wild!

I don't know what she was pouting about, but it's a good pout!Charlotte decided she was going to clap a lot this afternoon!

Look at that concentration!
Poor Charlotte. Mommy wouldn't let her chew on the ball thrower, or the ball!

Baylie's Home!

Baylie spent last week at Doggie Boot Camp. We had talked a lot about getting Baylie trained, even though she is 9 years old! When we were living in North Carolina we had a trainer and she told us that Baylie would never like other dogs, so we figured she knew what she was talking about and gave up. Baylie has been all over the country. She flies home with us at Christmas time, and on vacations. We have to sedate her for the plane ride because she wont go into the carrier, and she would scratch, wine and bark the whole time. Not to mention that she would eat another dog if they came too close to her! Well, that is all in the past. Our wonderful trainer Cate turned Miss. Baylie into a wonderfully behaved dog in one week!
Charlotte missed having Baylie around and was so excited to see her and love on her. Baylie wasn't as excited! She now will go into her bag and sit, or lay down!
Charlotte thought it was really funny and kept putting toys into the bag!
Part of our continued training is to make sure Baylie gets enough exercise! So we played ball in the backyard this afternoon. Charlotte thinks she can control Baylie too.

When I went to pick up Baylie today, she was tied to the line, sitting on a doggie bed with another dog! They were best friends! I couldn't believe what I was seeing!

We went for a walk tonight and we passed another dog. Baylie lunged at it a few times, but once I told her no, she decided she would eat the grass instead, while I talked to the other dog's owners! It was incredible! She is a totally different dog!
Of course I had to take some pictures of Charlotte too. I can just hear Grandma Great saying "I don't care about seeing pictures of that dumb dog, I just want to see my baby!"
