Easter Egg Hunt!

This morning we took the girls to the local park for their little Egg hunt. We rushed to get out of the house and be there by 10, when it started and of course when we got their they hadn't even set everything up yet! We had 45 minutes to kill before Charlotte's age group went so we went and found some shade and took some pictures before Charlotte got grumpy.

Caroline was happy and cooperative almost the whole morning!

Charlotte had fun pretending she was Rapunzel and her hair could touch the ground.

Chris took Charlotte to the bathroom and I hung out with the sweet baby and took some pictures of her and enjoyed the 5 minutes of quiet!

Then we attempted a photo with both girls before we headed over to the festivities!
To my surprise, Charlotte actually wanted to go see the Easter Bunny! I couldn't believe it when she actually stood with him and smiled!
We went and waited for the egg hunt, or scramble as I like to call it.

Once it started Charlotte freaked out and refused to pick up an egg. Chris went in with her and they collected a few before it was a mad dash for all the bigger kids to get all the eggs around her!
Chris quickly put some eggs in her basket just as she was starting to get a hang of it and all the eggs were gone.
She was pleased with her loot.
We went and sat and opened the eggs. Lots of mini flip flops and junk, but Charlotte was pleased!
Caroline hung out until we left like a good little baby and they are now both napping at the same time!!! It was a fun morning!!!

At home with the girls!

Yesterday morning the girls and I were on our own. Chris went back to work this week so we had Wednesday morning by ourselves and yesterday. (Charlotte was in school Thursday and Chris got home at lunchtime so that doesn't really count!). I decided that since Charlotte didn't have dance we were just going to take it easy at home. Caroline slept until 9, and then we decided to get dressed. Charlotte wanted to wear their matching shirts so I decided to try and take some photos at the same time!

The girls were actually very cooperative!

I may or may not have bribed Charlotte with jellybeans...

Then we came inside and made some homemade Banana Bread! Charlotte actually made it *almost* all by herself! I had measured everything out ahead of time for her and she mashed the bananas and poured all the ingredients in and stirred! She did a great job and boy was it yummy!!!

Both girls even napped at about the same times! I would call it a successful day with the girls!!!

Coronado

Tuesday afternoon we headed over to Coronado so Mimi could see the beach before she left. It was so nice to have her out here to help us, I just felt bad that we were tired and didn't really do much! Mimi didn't seem to mind. But we did venture over to the beach. Charlotte was very tired. She wore her new tye-die shirt that she made at the Farmer's Market on Sunday and she was very proud of it! She picked her skirt out as well. It was quite the outfit! It was Caroline's first trip to the beach! She slept in the stroller like a good little baby!
Charlotte acted like a goofball most of the time.

We walked down to look at a giant sandcastle then walked back up through the Del before going to dinner!

It was so nice having Mimi here, we were sad to see her go!

Botanical Gardens with Mimi

Monday we packed up the girls and headed to the Botanical Gardens. Caroline loved riding in the stroller and of course you know who decided she wanted to ride also. I didn't want to get a double stroller because Charlotte hardly every wants to sit in a stroller, but it works out perfectly for her to sit on the front of it while we are walking!

We walked around a bit and then headed to the children's garden to play. Charlotte immediately had Chris playing tag...
We then moved on to the blocks. Charlotte loved building towers and knocking them over!
She doesn't like to share her toys, as you can see from this picture. She has pretty much all the blocks yet still needed to go take the little boy's block. He even was bringing her blocks. Not sure how she worked that one out!
Finally we made our way to the little stream. It took some coercing to get Charlotte to accept the fact that her new shoes are water proof and they are ok to get wet.
When Caroline woke up Mimi snatched her up!
Charlotte actually requested we take a picture with all us girls in it, but then at the last minute she backed out. Oh well. We had a fun morning!

Caroline Pictures!

While Mimi, Chris and Charlotte went to walk down to the little market on Friday, I stayed home to feed Caroline before we went out for dinner. While we waited for them to get back I decided to take some pictures. It is so nice having a cooperative child to photograph!!!
