Since we've been home!

Finally I have gotten around to putting up a new post since we have been home. On Friday Charlotte and I went to the toy store and got her a sand box. She was thrilled. I feel like it was a wonderful investment. I can sit in the chair, throw the ball for Baylie, and Charlotte digs and pours sand over her head. It's a win win situation!
I think it is hilarious how Charlotte won't walk on the grass in bare feet. She MAY walk on it with shoes on, but instead of taking the direct route to the sandbox, she walks allllll the way around, just so she can walk on the cement! Silly girl!

We also got her a little swimming pool that she likes to splash in!
Baylie thinks its a good water dish!
I think Charlotte missed Baylie... not sure if Baylie missed Charlotte though!
We made yummy orange popsicles and Charlotte loved them!
Lisa and Joe brought Joli over on Sunday night so they could go out to dinner! Charlotte was so happy to see Lisa and the baby! While we were gone Lisa was busy making Charlotte this awesome mini quilt filled with pictures of our family. It will be so nice for her to have when she misses her daddy!
She also made her a pillow! Charlotte keeps pointing to it and saying "Dada" then running to the door.
While the boys were deployed the last time, Joli had a "Daddy Doll" that she loved, (and still does). So here is Charlotte's Daddy doll. She still gets confused and if I hand it to her and tell her its her "Dada Doll" she again, runs to the door saying "dada dada". **UPDATED FOR LISA'S COMMENT** Joli thinks that Charlotte's Daddy Doll is hers... Lisa thinks we should get a darker complexion Daddy Doll so that the girls can tell them apart!
The girls had a great time playing in the sandbox. I don't think Joli ever wanted to get out!

Great Grandparent's in NY

Last Tuesday before we left NY we got together with Charlotte's great grandparents. She had lots of fun!
She was obsessed with Grandma's beads!
Charlotte wore her beautiful dress that Grandma Great bought for her! Grandma thinks little girls should be in pink dresses always!
Blowing kisses! Both of Charlotte's great grandma's are ready willing and able to do whatever Charlotte pleases. The look on their faces just says it all!
Grandma had a bunny outside and Charlotte just loved carrying it around...
and loving it!
Stop!
We had such a nice time and really enjoyed spending so much time with Charlotte's Great Grandparents! We just wish they could visit!

Home Sweet Home!

We are back home! Although we miss everyone, it is nice to be back. Baylie missed us, and Charlotte was thrilled to see Lisa when she picked us up! Charlotte was awesome all day, with only a few wines and complains. You should have seen us going through the airport... I remember why we only fly about twice a year... We were equipped with the stroller, carseat and base (they were going to charge me to check it, so we brought it on the plane) a backpack, and a small duffel bag! Luckily on our long stretch we had the whole row to ourselves, and I got to put the carseat on the seat. Charlotte hung out and watched movies and ate lots of snacks! She actually fell asleep for about an hour, enough to rejuvenate her!
Our flight out of Las Vegas was not as peaceful. After getting of the plane, and sprinting to the other terminal and then to the furthest most possible gate, I was exhausted, sweating and ready to use floo powder to get me home... We were able to get on the delayed flight on standby, which got us in about 2 hours earlier than we were suppose to. The only downside was that I then had to go back to the airport and get our bags...
It was worth it to not have to chase Charlotte through the airport! All she wanted to do was run!!! She is sound asleep and we are all happy to be home, even if it is quite lonely!

Sun at last!

This afternoon the sun was out and it was beautiful! We spent the whole afternoon outside playing!!!

Charlotte's First Trip to the Dentist!

It was time for Charlotte to visit the dentist, and luckily, we sort of happen to know a really awesome pediatric dentist... So this morning Mimi, Charlotte and I headed to see Jim at the office. Charlotte was a bit tired and clung to me as usual! She was very pleased though to get a new toothbrush!
She was very confused when she saw Jim, and then he put on his funny glasses and she really wasn't sure!
Dr. McD counted her teeth and showed me the big giant bumps (molars) that are getting ready to come in!
It wasn't really as bad as she made it look!
After she got her teeth checked, it was time to get them polished and some fluoride put on! Charlotte thought the polisher was kind of cool... could have made a good teether...
It was just when anything went in her mouth that she screamed!
It looked worse than it was... Charlotte is just a touch me not, and doesn't like to be fiddled with! Once we had all hands out of her mouth she was a happy camper!
She did a great job and has eight teeth and four molars are getting ready to come in! Can't wait for the teething to be over!!!

Fun at the Funny Farm!

Last night we went up to Amy and Jim's for dinner! After we were finished eating the kids played. Charlotte was kind of being a pain... Amy got me a little present... a kids homeopathic kit! It is awesome. The kids thought so too!
We went outside to play and Charlotte turned into a different child! She was much happier!

The big box was a hit... Rory got inside it and Charlotte tried to find him!

Molly just loves playing with Charlotte, and Charlotte loves Molly!
Hmm... baseball in the future?

Hmm... what could be inside here?!
Charlotte kept going to Amy's leg to have her pick her up, then she would realize it was Amy and not Mama!
I took a lot of pictures of Molly and Charlotte!

After a while we headed back to the swingset!

Charlotte just loved Aidan! They had fun swinging together!
I guess she just likes to be outdoors!
