Carving Pumpkins

Last night after we put Killian to bed the girls, Chris and I carved pumpkins! We made a few changes from years past, one being doing it inside! With Charlotte in school all day, and Chris working it makes it hard to find the daylight to carve outside. It is also cold. Our weekends have been busy and we didn't want the pumpkins to rot before Halloween so last night was the night! We also only got pumpkins for the kids this year. Since they can't actually carve, and they are mediocre gut scoopers, Chris and I do most of the work. Chris wasn't pleased with the fact that I told him we weren't going to do pumpkins but I think when we were done in less than 2 hours he was slightly relieved! We also somehow managed to have Charlotte forget all about roasting pumpkin seeds! Today when we got home we threw on the kids Halloween shirts and took a family picture and some daylight pictures of the pumpkins. Killian thought the pumpkins were lots of fun and loved taking the top off and sticking his hand through his pumpkins eyes. Luckily they only have one more day to last!

He walks!

Wednesday after school, we stopped by Dr. Katie's so the kids could get an adjustment. I mentioned to her that Killian just wouldn't walk and she gave him an awesome adjustment, hips and all!
We came home 20 minutes later, he walked! (I did bribe him with Taylor Swift's Shake It Off video on the TV!).

(Has nothing to do with walking but, Caroline has been removing the couch cushions and creating her own gym. They all love it!)
Killian walked a little bit once Chris got home, and then rested up for another day of practice. Thursday he tried some more, and made slight progress!!

We are getting there, he still prefers to crawl as he is SUPER fast, but hopefully in another week he will be full on walking!

School Fall Festival

Today Charlotte's school had their annual fall festival. It was a lot of fun and turned out to be a great afternoon for it! Charlotte is dressing up as a super cute purple butterfly this year! Chris was in charge of the obstacle course and Charlotte was so happy to help him, It was a big hit!
The kids loved the bounce house this year. I still remember all the years no one would go in it because they were afraid, my how times have changed!

Charlotte and Delaney hung out together
most of the afternoon and had a great time.
Mimi and Grandma came to help with the babies as Chris and I were going in all directions! Once Caroline and Killian got up from their naps they joined us at school. Caroline made the cutest little ladybug, while she actually wore her costume that is!

A great time was had by all!

Apple Picking with the Littles

Wednesday was the last apple picking day of the season. We were out of apples, so Caroline, Killian and I headed to the orchard to get some more! It was in the middle of a heat wave (77 degrees) and not typical fall weather! The leaves were gorgeous though and it made me so grateful we live where we do.

We had a great time, picked a giant bag and climbed some trees. The kids were great and we are all set on apples for a while!

Apple Orchard Field Trip

This past Friday I accompanied Charlotte's class on their first field trip of the school year to the apple orchard! We first learned how to properly pick apples, twist up, not pull!
Next we headed into the orchard to have a picnic lunch!
The kids posed for many photos for all is parents! (Most of the parents went on the trip, clearly we are all first time kindergarten parents!)
Charlotte did a great job filling her bag!

Luckily, her second loose tooth fell out the night before the trip which meant she could eat apples once again!

Once we finished picking the kids did a little schoolwork before we left!

We LOVE Charlotte's kindergarten teacher, and so do they!! We had a great time and thank you to Auntie Colette for staying with the babies!

*I may add more photos once I get the ones her teacher took, so check back!
