Olivia's Lake House

Last Sunday we were invited to visit Olivia's grandparents lake house. No sooner did we get there than Chris was in the water waterskiing. Killian and Caroline came on the boat and loved it. Charlotte stayed at the house with Olivia and played with their dolls and enjoyed alone time!
After lunch the girls went swimming, or jumping on to the tubing tube.
Chris loved all the activities there were. He tried stand up paddle boarding for the first time and took the kids with him.
It was more of kneeling paddle boarding!
The girls ended their day with some Popsicles.

We were getting ready to leave when Olivia's grandparents dog got very sick from all the water it had been drinking and needed to be rushed to the vet. Luckily he pulled through but it was a crazy end to a wonderful day! We are lucky to have friends and family with great lake spots for us to visit!

Trampoline Park

Wednesday we went over to Grandmas early and stopped at the trampoline park with Olivia. It was a nice air conditioned break from the summer heat that has just decided to hit this week. The kids had a great time.

Caroline got extra trampoline time as she had gymnasics that afternoon also. She loves jumping from the higher sides onto the trampolines.
Killian was obsessed with the dodgeball balls and carried one around with him the whole time!

We then headed to Whole Foods for lunch and back to Grandmas for naps before gymnastics!

The Hose

Killian loves playing with the hose. He loves watering the grass and spraying whatever he can. This afternoon we got the hose out to fill up the kiddie pool. Instead it turned into an hour of Killian drinking, splashing and spraying water. It's a good thing we don't pay for our water!

The girls thought it was fun to try and not get sprayed. The three of us ended up doing quite a bit of screaming and running from Killian!

The fun ended when he dropped the hose and it got him!

Carnival

Last weekend we decided to take the kids to the local Firemans Carnival. We went a couple years ago, and I think we decided we wouldn't do it again, but here we are! Apart from being extremely expensive ($20 for a ride book that got the kids 2 rides each), people smoking and generally an interesting scene... the kids had fun. We started off walking around for a good 10 minutes looking at the 5 different rides while the kids tried to decided which ones looked like they weren't too scary. They finally both decided on the big slide and went up together. By the time Caroline got to the top there was a line of 10 kids behind her. Once she saw the not so friendly, (creepy carni) working at the top she refused to move. Chris had to go up and go down with them, which they both loved.
Next Killian went on the firetrucks. He laughed and smiled the whole time, then screamed and screamed when the ride ended!

We couldn't talk Caroline into the swings, but Charlotte didn't care, she wanted to go and she went alone. She loved every second!

Caroline and Killian watched, Killian wanted very badly to go on too.
Charlotte had used her two ride tickets and Caroline and Killian each had one left, so they went on the little cars together. Caroline decided to make her "grammy" goofy face instead of smiling. Thanks Grammy.

We finished rides and the kids got some cotton candy to share. Cotton Candy is not easy to share with three kids...

Before we left we went on the old firetruck for a ride into town and back. Charlotte got to sit up front and do the siren. She had so much fun.

Meanwhile, we squished into the small back. The other people we rode with gave Killian a ball so he was happy.
Caroline just loved her hat and ringing the bell constantly!

We headed home after the firetruck ride and decontaminated bathed the children before bed!

Puddle Jumping!

Yesterday after the afternoon downpour, we got Killian up from his nap, got on rain boots and headed down the driveway.
It didn't take long before we found some puddles, but they weren't too big, so we kept walking.

We went to the end of the cul-de-sac to the giant puddle, but were immediately attacked by mosquitos, so Charlotte ran back and grabbed the bug spray. Then it was game on!

It took Killian a few minutes to warm up to the idea, and we coaxed him out of the stroller by giving him rocks to throw.

He tried his hardest to jump but he couldn't get totally off the ground!

We headed back home after a while and took a quick bath and drained their rain boots, they were all sloshing around!
