We had a great Halloween! Our morning was fairly typical and after naps we went to pick Charlotte up at school. They are not allowed to dress up at school but they have a parade after school. We grabbed Charlotte and got her quickly changed. She loved seeing all her friends costumes!
The little girls loved checking out all the big kids costumes!
Caroline was a bit terrified at a few of the costumes but warmed up to the idea that it was just someone dressed up. She still talks about the scary gorilla though!
The kids marched (or ran) over to the Assisted Living and Senior housing next door where they got some candy for their bags!
Once the parade was over we got loaded into the car and drove over to Grandma's for real trick or treating! The girls were so excited that their friend (grandma's neighbor) Baylee went with them. Now that Charlotte is in school we don't make it over as often and the girls don't get to see each other as much.
Caroline of course entertained us most of the night. Saying things like "hmmm. I'll take this one! I like those!" (Looking into the candy bowl) and when a man asked Charlotte if she was in Kindergarden Caroline chimed in with "I in first grade, with all my friends!". She was very funny.
After just about 2 hours(!!!!) of trick or treating we came home and dumped out the loot! Charlotte separated her candy into a like and dislike pile. (Charlotte doesn't like chocolate, well she likes "Kitty Kats" and caramels.)
Caroline was so excited she couldn't contain herself!
Once Killian figured out what was going on he was in on the action too, eating lollipops through the wrapper and such.
Even though it was almost time to turn off the lights we got a few trick or treaters at Grandmas and the girls were excited to pass out some candy.
Once they were all sugared up we got them changed into Jammie's and headed home!
It was a wonderful Halloween!
