Free Cone Day

I have been terrible about blogging, I will go back and update past days but will get back in with today! 

It was another beautiful day! Not quite as warm as yesterday and it was a bit breezy but nice nevertheless. We hung out this morning and picked up the house as much as you can with three kids at home... The girls wanted another picnic outside but it was a bit breezy and they wanted to come in!

We took Caroline up to Ballet. Killian, Charlotte and I went to the park while we waited for Caroline. Killian is much less of a daredevil than Caroline. He is very cautious like Charlotte, which is interesting! He and Charlotte both wanted to be right next to me! 

I pretty much had to force him on the play structure!

Charlotte tried to help him down the slide but he wanted no part of it!

After we picked up Caroline we went and met Chris and Ben and Jerry's for Free Cone Day. The kids love this day each year!

We stopped and got gas and a car wash on the way home. Killian screamed the whole car wash. It wasn't a touch free wash so the big scrubbers freaked them all out a little!

After running to the grocery store we headed home where Killian went right for the sandbox and proceeded to pour sand on his head and laugh hysterically.

He was filthy by the afternoons end and all of the kids were tired! It was a good second day of Vacation!

School and Play date

Caroline and Killian had school this morning, but Killian woke up with his fever still so I kept him home. He has not really wanted to eat but will drink his milk all day long. I hope it doesn't become a habit! He was pretty clingy and hung out on the couch with me and then took a early nap as he was pretty miserable. He loves the thermometer and the remote... both things that would not be good if broken or lost! We went up to see Dr. Katie and then went and got Caroline from school.

Caroline had a great day at school. She got a little nervous when she was asked if she wanted to walk the puppy at school. She doesn't mind Baylie but she has this huge fear of Cats and apparently other dogs. Killian was pleased to see her once she got up from her nap.

Chris came home early and I met him on our road as he was going to stay with Killian while I picked up Charlotte and headed to our friends for a playdate with the girls. Killian just still wasn't feeling too hot so I thought it would be best that he stay at home!

Once I got Charlotte we went to Emily, Hannah and Paige's house where the girls played for almost 2 hours. They and so much fun with the big kids!

There was lots of dress up that took place!

We went home and had dinner, Chris had already put Killian to bed and the girls went down a little bit later, which was nice. It was a lovely end to the week!

Easter

Easter morning I woke up to Charlotte poking me at 6 am, so excited that the Easter Bunny had come. Chris and Caroline were still sleeping and slept in a little bit longer. Charlotte went downstairs and opened her Easter Basket when Mimi came up.

She also realized there were eggs outside and started to look for them.

Caroline woke up soon after and then she went to get Grandma. Grandma slept in Caroline's bed!

Grandma got the girls new gymnastic leotards for Easter and Caroline was so excited!

The kids each got new summer shoes and a book. They got some Peeps, Chapstick and flower seeds!

Chris took Caroline to get donuts and after we had breakfast the kids got dressed and headed outside to do the egg hunt!

Charlotte clearly dominated but Caroline didn't seem to mind and was close behind!

Killian thought the Eggs were the greatest things ever and was so excited.

Once we finished we went inside to check out what was in the eggs!

Killian tried helping himself to Caroline's basket, which she was not pleased with!

Once we were all packed we got in the car and headed to Grammy and Papa's for the night. Charlotte was clearly very tired from staying up late last night!

We made a last minute decision to go over to Grammy and Papa's because Uncle Chuck and Aunt Korey were in town with Kenzi, Cade and Grant and we rarely get to see them as they live in Michigan! They met Charlotte when she was about 2, and Killian last summer at Lisa's wedding but never had met Caroline! Charlotte asks all the time who they are (in pictures) and always talks about wanting to meet them! We stopped at Uncle Rick and Aunt Pam's first for a little visit with everyone. We even managed a family photo!

Charlotte was so happy with the big kids, we hardly saw her!

We headed back to Grammy and Papa's for dinner. We put the little ones to bed before we ate, Charlotte stayed up until past 10pm playing with her cousins! She was one happy 6 year old!

Cleaning and Birthday Parties!

This morning we spent picking up the house since Mimi and Grandma were coming to stay the night! Chris and I were going next door for Tim's birthday party and since tomorrow is Easter, we figured it made sense for everyone to just be at our house! Picking up with the kids is no easy task in itself. I had just finished vacuuming the floors and was about to mop when Caroline spilled her yogurt all over the floor... needless to say the dog cleaned it up and the floors still aren't mopped and there is still yogurt marks on the floor... Someday we will have a clean house! The kids entertained themselves with the rubber gloves Charlotte snatched from the doctors office that I turned into balloons!

While the littles were napping Charlotte got to work making notes and pictures for the Easter Bunny!

Caroline and I had a birthday party to go to, one of her friends from story time. Killian was feeling a bit better but I didn't want to expose him to the other kids! Caroline was pretty shy and actually had me hold her much of the party!

She won a prize playing pin the bow on minnie... unblindfolded. She was pleased with that though!

We got back home and Mimi and Grandma were there. We had dinner and then Chris and I left for next door. Mimi and Grandma got the girls calmed down once we had left as there was lots of screaming from the oldest child... you would have thought we were leaving for days! Chris and I enjoyed our time out, thanks Mimi and Grandma! 

A Sick Baby!

Killian woke up this morning with a fever. He just can't seem to kick this cold that he's had for the past week and a half. I had plans to go to story time this morning but seeing as he wasn't feeling well we just hung out around the house. Caroline wasn't too pleased. We did go up and see Dr. Katie to get an adjustment.

Once we got Charlotte we headed to Killian's doctors just to make sure his lungs were clear etc. She said he was fine and we headed back home. The girls were not too happy about being in the car so they were very pleased when we pulled up and there was a nice Easter package from Aunt Dee!

Charlotte loves stuffed animals and Aunt Dee always picks out ones that are her favorites!

Caroline was mostly after the candy!

Killian carried around the bag of Jelly Beans all afternoon!

Killian went to bed early as he was just not himself and Charlotte enjoyed the bath to herself once Caroline got out!

Hoping everyone feels better tomorrow!

Grandma's and Gymnastics

We skipped gymnastics last week because the kids weren't feeling well, so Caroline was thrilled to go today! She was also thrilled to see Grandma! 

She somehow peed in her leotard enough that it was too wet to wear right before we left. She had gone to the bathroom also so she didn't share that she was wet until I was buckling her into her car seat. The only change of clothes I had was a dress and leggings, luckily there was a christmas shirt upstairs so she went to gymnastics with a Christmas shirt on! She loved collecting all the Easter eggs for warmup!

She did great again today. She is getting her front supports down and is getting pretty good at her cartwheel!

Both kids napped for a good portion of the afternoon and then Caroline and Grandma played Memory. Grabdma says Caroline cheats, but the truth is Grandma doesn't follow the rules. It's so funny to see Caroline take over Charlottes normal role! She's getting way too big!

Killian took a good nap also and was happy to see Grandma when he woke up before we headed home!

Chris picked up Charlotte from Olivia's and they grabbed a pizza and met us at home. We turned onto our road at the same time, talk about perfect timing! After dinner Charlotte and Caroline put on a puppet show before bed.

It was a long but auccessf day!
