Whacky Wednesday!

Today was Whacky Wednesday and Charlotte had consulted the whackiest person she knew- Grammy- for help with her outfit. I do have to admit this outfit was solely my idea :) I had to wake her up for school this morning and once she remembered it was Whacky Wednesday she got ready right away!

After Killian woke up we headed down to the grocery store. The littles still have colds and Killian woke up with a little fever last night but they were acting fine today and we needed to get out of the house and get some stuff!
We then went to Walmart which I hate, but Vermont won't allow Targets... Caroline looks like she has a puffed out cheek because she had a gumball pouched her mouth!
After naps and getting Charlotte we played outside. It was in the low 50's which was like a heat wave!
Killian threw a fit when we tried to get clothes on for outside. He just wanted to go!!
We ventured around to the back of the house and tried to get a group photo... Didn't quite work as planned. Not to mention they all look like the Philsbury Dough Boy!
Killi loved stomping in the puddles.
We made it up onto the deck which still had some snow on it. I would like for that to melt so we can at least play out on the deck until the rest is melted!!
Killian found a truck and was very pleased. I have a feeling this summer will consist of trucks and sand!
He found the sand toys and started shoving snow... These poor children, will spring ever come?!
We went back in and waited for Chris to come home with a pizza. Meanwhile Killian got himself in the shopping cart. I'm slightly confused because he refuses to stay in one at the store...

The middle child is the only one still awake (7:15) and it is currently snowing...I am starting to think Winter will never end!

Purple Day

This week is Spirit Week at Charlotte's school. Today's theme was Purple Day (their school color). Charlotte was very happy to wear all purple to school!
Caroline and Killian both woke up with gross snotty noses so we hung out today. Killian didn't nap for very long and varied between wanting to snuggle and throwing a tantrum. He did like waving to himself while taking a picture on my phone!
Caroline played pretty nicely this morning. While I put Killian down she played quietly in her room and she even found a ladybug! She slept for over 2 1/2 hours and I had to wake her to go get Charlotte!
Once we came home everyone played and hung out. The littles still had runny noses so we just relaxed and played.
Killian did start getting restless so we went downstairs for a short while. Charlotte is getting more adventurous on the trapeze bar.
So is Killian! He loves running right up to the rings and swinging! We may have another gymnast in our future!
Killian had dinner and bath early as he just couldn't wait, so he had his Jammie's on when Chris got home. The girls set up a nice tea party for them all, complete with a headband for Chris' hair!

Chris put Killian down and then we had dinner with the girls before doing bedtime. Caroline is still up at 8:30, I knew with the long nap it would be inevitable, but she needed the rest! Hoping everyone is on the mend for tomorrow!

Country Store

This morning Chris took the girls to school. Killian slept in but he was up about 4 times last night... He and Caroline woke up with colds that seem to have evolved over the weekend. Killian and I headed up to the country store before we had to go get Caroline.
He loves sitting in the stroller for a while then gets out and explores! He chose a little bouncy ball as his prize!
After we got Charlotte (which of course I had to wake both kids to go get her) we stopped for adjustments and came home where Caroline and Killian got to work making a mess, or playing if that's what you want to call it!
Luckily there was a little moment of downtime where they were all watching tv together! I fed them an early dinner which made them a little happier as the evening wore on. Killian just dumped his plate on the floor, I knew he must not have felt well.
Once the kids were finally all asleep Chris and I enjoyed a quiet dinner! I love eating as a family but sometimes it's so nice just the two of us!

Lazy Sunday

I didn't do such a great job at taking pictures today! We spent the morning just hanging out. Killian took an early nap and the girls and I watched Annie... again. Caroline has been skipping naps more than Id like lately, and after about 45 minutes of trying to get her to go to sleep I just got her up. She is so miserable without one but she has a hard time falling asleep at a reasonable hour at night with one. It makes for an extremely long day though! Once Killian got up Chris took the kids outside. Charlotte started to make some more bird feeder toilet paper tubes but didn't like the peanut butter on her fingers so I finished and brought them out for the kids to hang on the dead Christmas tree.
We got ready to go to Charlotte's friend Asher's house for dinner!

I left my phone in the car and didn't get any photos but we had a great time, the kids had so much fun in Asher's awesome playroom! They were pretty well behaved, except for when Carolime walked in with a marshmellow in her mouth she had gotten from Charlotte, who took it out of the pantry! Then Charlotte tried to squirt the can of whipped cream directly into her mouth... All in all it was a good time!

Saturday at Grandmas!

Charlotte woke up this morning and asked incessantly if we could go see Grandma. We didn't have anything really planned so we figured why not! Once we put the kids down for a nap Chris and I went and grabbed some Panera for lunch- a nice treat! The kids had all eaten lunch with Grandma!
We stayed for dinner also and Chris and Killian grilled in the cold...
Mimi joined us and although Killian didn't feel like eating he was up for playing with Mimi!
We took a post dinner break and went down to the basement to ride bikes etc. Charlotte tried on the roller skates and had a little trouble getting the hang of it at first!
Once Grandma helped her it was much better!
We then went back upstairs and had another birthday celebration for Chris. I think this was the fourth... Charlotte and Grandma put 29 candles on the cake and I almost burned myself trying to light them all! The kids are pros now at blowing out birthday candles!
We are so glad Charlotte insisted ongoing to Grandmas!

Last Ski

This morning everyone was up bright and early. Everyone was also going to school so I was a little worried with how Killian would hold up. He was fine all morning and enjoyed seeing Chris (and drawing on the steamy window) as Chris is usually gone by the time he is up. Chris took Charlotte to school and I brought Caroline and Killian. As soon as we walked in the front door Killian started screaming. Caroline of course was off playing happy as can be while I had to pry poor Killian off. He had stopped crying by the time I left and I got reports that he had a great day. He was happily playing when I went back to get them.
I swapped with Chris since it was Charlotte's last ski Friday of the season and he brought the little ones home and I went with Louise, Olivia and Charlotte up to the mountain.
Charlotte has been on the lift and the "green" run with Chris several times but has not wanted to make the leap into the green group as she was afraid of falling. I was able to pursuede her and she decided she would give Green a try.
The saw their friends while they waited and had an exciting 6 year old conversation.
Before long they were off and heading to the lift!
They also had different instructors this week who were much much better than previous weeks. I think that helped a lot as Charlotte was very comfortable going up the mountain. My phone died so I didn't get any more pictures but Charlotte did great. She didn't fall once and did an awesome job turning and stopping coming down the mountain. They did 3 runs and then it was time to head home!
Killian and Caroline didn't sleep much for Chris, which didn't surprise me too much as they seem to be so overtired on school days that they don't take long naps! Killian was outside with Chris when we got home.
Joy, Tim, Wil and Connor came over for pizzas to celebrate Chris' birthday and we had a great time. The girls of course wanted to be in charge and also loved the boys. Great!
The boys then headed over to skate once the kids were in bed!

It was a busy yet fun Friday!

Storytime and Dinner

Today we went to storytime at the library. We hadn't been in a while and it was nice to see some of our friends.
After naps and getting Charlotte we came home and the kids had an early dinner. It was so successful I may consider feeding them at 4:00 every day! Everyone ate and was quiet!
Once Chris got home Louise and Olivia came down and Chris watched all the kids so Louise and I went and got dinner!
We had a great time out for a quick dinner without kids and Chris did a great job holding down the fort!
