Our car was delivered this morning and we were thrilled to have it back! So we loaded it up and headed off to the beach to meet Abby and Syrus and Lilly! We picked Lynsie up on the way and are trying to soak in our last bit of time with her before she moves. Charlotte was very happy to see her! We brought Charlotte's bucket full of toys and she wanted to wear her sunglasses too. She was quite stylish!
Syrus and Charlotte had such a great time playing together today!
She did pretty good with having dirty hands, but was sure to let me know every so often that they were full of sand!
We walked down to the water to clean her hands off. In the past, Charlotte has screamed anytime we got near the water, but not today! She really liked it!
Until a wave came, then she freaked out!
She wanted to be held of course, but cheered up quickly and kept asking to go back out in the water, but not be put down!
Lynsie and I took turns holding her in the chilly water!
We finally convinced her to go back up to the blanket and play. Syrus enjoyed this as well!
She was covered from head to toe in sand and was still smiling!
Chris called while we were playing and Charlotte was too busy to talk at first, but then she walked over to me and very clearly said "Mama, say hi? Hi Daddy!" and then took the phone and jabbered away!
Even though Charlotte was having a blast at the beach I decided it was time to go, since it was already past nap time and I could a meltdown in the future if we didn't put her to bed, so off we went. It was such a fun day and I actually really enjoyed myself (and I usually don't love the beach!)
