Thanksgiving and Cheese...

Finally, a post from Thanksgiving! We went over to Grandma and Grandpa's early and Charlotte needed lunch, so Grandma got the ball of Mozzarella out to make grilled cheese. Charlotte thought she should eat it straight...
Being at Grandmas so much means doing a lot of cooking and baking and Charlotte has learned that if something is "hot" to not touch it. She has also started saying "hot" if I tell her she can't touch something, even if it isn't hot. She thinks that if she can't touch it, it must be hot!
She really enjoys sitting on Grandma's counter and being part of the action. Chris called a few weeks ago and I was doing something and he asked me where Charlotte was, I told him on the counter, and he almost had a heart attack that she was going to fall off. She is very good though, if you tell her to stay, she won't move! We haven't had any accidents yet!

She did eat some of her actual sandwich, but I think she preferred the straight cheese better!
After finishing her lunch she helped Grandma look up recipes!

After her nap, Mimi was there! Charlotte colored with Mimi for a while... all while sitting on the counter! Then we attempted a mother-daughter shot... this was the best we got!
Charlotte wanted to read the toy fliers while we finished getting dinner ready. She really likes anything Toy Story, dolls and whenever she sees a dinosaur she lets out a quiet "roarrrr"... just like her buddy Syrus!
Once we sat down for dinner, Charlotte wanted to get up. Figures. She wandered around and ate nothing but Grandma's rolls. She must take after her mother!!!
Charlotte and Grandpa have the funniest relationship. She just loves him to pieces, will always give him kisses if no one else, says hi to him whenever she sees him... but boy does she loves to tease him! She isn't quite old enough to understand that messing around with your 89 year old Great Grandpa isn't very nice, and it probably doesn't help that Grandma and I laugh hysterically every time she fakes him out with the remote to the tv, or takes his pillow and moves it from its precise location next to the chair... but boy do they love each other!!!
Happy Thanksgiving!
